Plopsaland De Panne General Discussion

Plopsa have allegedly purchased a unique coaster from a “German manufacturer” that is to be “presented” at Plopsaland in summer 2026 (whether this means announced or opened, I don’t know). It is to be themed to a Studio 100 IP:

With the runaway success of RTH, I wouldn’t be that surprised if they built another Mack coaster myself.

I did see something on X/Twitter about the Kabouter (Gnome) Plop dark ride leaving the park the other day and being replaced with a Belgium first rollercoaster.

I am half thinking that it could be a family coaster themed to the IP like a Mack Inverted Powered Coaster like Arthur - we haven't seen many of these built around the world. 🤔

Very exciting! Would be curious as to the actual translation of that (I tried several options and got both “presented” and “introduced”).

I suppose if it’s opening then that will become quite apparent at some point this year.

I can't find the link but just booked our Plopsaland trip and they are imminently opening a direct entrance from the site (where the pre-existing campsite is also based) into the park via the Viking area meaning you can walk (previously you had to drive round to the main entrance).

As RAP users i suspect this won't be accounted for and we'll still have to go to guest services at the main entrance for accreditation but a positive new addition nonetheless!

Brilliant news, we're camping in July. Where did you see this announcement?

I thought i was going mad as i definitely saw it, seems it's not an official announcement but from a facebook news post. Seems legit as far as i can tell. Either way i'm going two months before you so i can give an update then if there's nothing official before!

I've not seen this anywhere but they seem to quietly have a new ride for 2025!

Even better it has a 1.2m height requirement, take that Toxicator.

Even better than that, it seems to be 0.96m accompanied and 1.2m unaccompanied.

This is exactly the sort of ride that Towers and Chessington should be looking for 😄

The throughput on these rides is poor at best. This could get dreadful queues at Plopsa, the one at Tripsdrill was bad enough on a wet weekday in April last year. It would be a nightmare at Chessington.
Good point - I believe a lot of the smaller rides like these and quite a few of Zamperla's rides are designed more to support larger rides rather than as part of the main attraction.

I don't think Merlin's approach for FastTrack and disability access helps at all.

This is exactly the sort of ride Chessington needs in terms of the thrill level though.

Still better capacity than The Bell had at Hansa.

An ok addition. Bout time the Wickie Land got something new. But these are the type of additions we beg Merlin to do.

We are going last week of May, really hope it opens early as looks like something my son would love (and I can handle). Seems like something that can be put up quickly. Will try and get some photos either way.

Only just noticed Plopsa show planned ride closures (that’s where I noticed it) and The Dragon is scheduled to be closed that week which was his favourite coaster 😢

On the plus side he will almost certainly be 1.3m then so hopefully we have a new favourite!

As an aside is Tripsdill any good? I’d never heard of it till it was mentioned yesterday but looks like they have some cool coasters and all low height restrictions.

We enjoyed our visit. Stayed onsite in a wagon and spent sometime next door at the wildlife park. Easy enough trip to tie in with Europa Park and Holiday Park.
