Plopsaland have recently been uploading art and construction images to their Facebook page showing how their new water park will look when it opens in 2015.

Plop Aqua is a brand subtropical swimming paradise in Plopsaland. The building will be constructed between the Plopsa Theatre and De Panne Avenue, at the location where previously Gilded Pheasant Restaurant and the former park entrance to find.

The opening of the water park is planned for spring 2015. An exact opening date is not yet known. Was the capacity of the pool, according to initial reports, simultaneously provide 750 to 900 people. In September 2013 it became known that the maximum capacity of the pool was increased to 1,250 swimmers.

Plop Aqua

The Plopsa Group works closely with the municipality of De Panne for the development of the pool, so there will be special rates apply to residents of De Panne. Besides a major tourist value, the water park after all an important addition to the residents of the schools and groups from De Panne and the surrounding municipalities.

"This collaboration is the best option in the search for alternatives to the obsolete municipal swimming pool", said former Mayor Robert Butsraen know the announcement, in July 2012. The pool of De Panne closed the doors on February 28, 2013.

Planning permission

The planning application was submitted in early July 2012 in the town of De Panne, on October 2, 2012 followed the announcement that the license was granted nv Plopsaland.

On October 1, 2013 the start was given for the work.

Ooh wow this looks really good! I think Plopsa De Panne is a fantastic little park, and this appears to be a major addition. Looking forward to seeing how it turns out!

Plopsa is a lovely looking park but they desperately need to develop the park itself as if Anubis is closed (which a mild breeze will cause) then there is very little to do.

This waterpark looks good though
