Shortly after starting TowersStreet and following member feedback, we enabled the ability for members to edit their own posts at any time after posting. This was instead of preventing editing after a specific period of time or after others had posted.
The edit button was re-enabled on the understanding that it would only be used to edit SPG errors or to add information to the post, for example when having a who's going topic for a mini meet. We've recently seen an increase in edited posts where the whole text is removed and replaced with nothing but a "." or a "/" in it's place in an attempt to remove the post. This makes the forum look unnecessarily untidy and is not the correct use for the edit button.
If you wish to remove one of your posts, click the flag post button and a member of the team will happily delete the post for you.
If further "post removals" using the edit button are found, the team will revoke post editing rights from those offending members.
