Rainbow Magic Land
Returns the project for the Splash Battle

Left behind the New Year's Eve, the apple of discord between fans and not the official channels of communication , the amusement park of Rome Rainbow Magicland turns his gaze forward.

This season offers a slight reduction in working hours that focuses evening openings from mid-July to late August.
Tickets cost seems to have remained unchanged since you can already buy for 3/23/13 (opening day 2013) a entrance 35 euro per person.

But the news that most concerns us is the networking of some artworks on the design of the Splash Battle , postponed by one year to the opening provided.
In this interview, which dates back to last year, the CEO of the park had talked about this news .
Today, however, we have the first interesting images , offering well-themed attraction that will be installed in the central lake of the park.

The type of attraction is the same as Raratonga to Mirabilandia, the layout will be only slightly more elongated. Inside the park website you will find a 3D simulation that allows you to climb aboard "Battleship".

If it looks like the artwork, then cool...

Still a Splash Battle though, least Italy makes sense for these rides...

I have to say, it's not looking too bad! :)

It's not.

The park looks great in places but it's very cheaply done.

I was left disappointed by it.

It's good yes! And Huntik was too!

Splash Battles always look so ugly when they're bolted onto the side of a much larger lake. It just doesn't look right, when you have a large lake with one tiny corner of it intensively themed. Much better to have them in their own custom-made body of water. :)

Is quite right, the positioning of this might well indeed ruin the rather awesome symmetry of the lake... See also (to a degree) Battle Galleons...

Agree that parts were well themed (Huntik, and most of the building facades) but others were obviously at the mercy of budget cuts...

Did they ever sort out that bloody Rapid turntable though?

Is this Splash Battle Mack or...? Seems very odd the way the boats are sitting on a little 'platform' which stays above the water line...

I'm not sure but I'm going to have a stab in the dark and say Preston Splash Battle (like the one at Phantasialand) rather than Mack. They tend to have much more open sides than Macks.

Edit: Been doing a bit more digging and not only do the guns on these match Preston's style but apparently they sold 3 more in Europe last year so this could be one of them. It's also worth noting they are an Italian based company.

Yep, digging this dusty old thread up from beyond the grave! I've just come across a Facebook post from a fan page of the park and it's not looking good...!

I believe from the rough google translation that the park has opened for the 2017 season and is rather falling short of expectations. Seems fans are being let down by the lack of maintenance, low calibre entertainments and lack of new attractions.

I remember @AstroDan saying he'd visited and felt the park was on the budget side in terms of "build quality"... seems it's starting to show!

Indeed...

The build quality was like Sesamo Aventura at PA. Cheap moulded polystyrene...

Did they ever get that train line to the park/surrounding area finished?

The lack of any reasonable investment won't have helped, beyond Shock and Huntik there's not much else to crow about and the new attractions since opening have been poor...
