Load of fuss about nothing then. The weather yesterday was dire across the country, I believe a lorry was blown over on the M6. Surely there is your simple explanation for why the Smiler wasn't operating?

To be fair, it didn't open this morning and I overheard a staff member say there was a "slight chance" of it opening today.

Staff say lots of things. The majority of the newer seasonals, with the greatest respect, know very little. I say that as I was one in 2007. In truth, some members here are likely to know more due to more senior contacts etc.

That’s my guess. In a season where it was needed most it has so far started to crack under the pressure.

Rita has gone down today, don’t think it’s been down this season until today. Probably been one of the most reliable coasters this season.

A much better day now at the park. All the coasters open apart from Spinball (which is advertised to be closed anyway), resulting in manageable wait times. Hopefully with Hex, Spinball and hopefully the addition of Sub-Terra coming soon, the poor operational start to the season will be behind them.
