Somewhere to eat close to Thorpe?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend somewhere to eat close to Thorpe Park? Just looking for somewhere serving pub grub perhaps with a beer garden within a couple of miles of the park?

Visiting for summer nights in a couple of weeks so thought we could have some dinner before heading into the park at 7pm.

There is a Hungry Horse pub not far away called The Twynersh, it's on Thorpe Road.

Or you can drive into Staines, there is the usual town centre stuff there.

It's possibly a little further than what you're wanting at 5 miles or so, but The Thames Court at Shepperton is lovely if the weather is nice. It's right by the river with a decent sized outdoor area for food

The food is lovely! Also try the Bridge hotel near the Thames...that is amazing too!

Forgot to come back and say thanks for the recommendations.

Unfortunately in the end the curse of the M25 hit us and we had to head straight to the park with no time to eat somewhere close by. Will bear these in mind for another time though
