Before I start, it's worth mentioning that Thorpe Park has placed new electronic queue time signs on all of the rides. These are much more accurate then the previous signs, and they can be seen from quite a distance. For example, I can now tell Saws queue line time without entering the area. They are very good, and are a nice improvement.
Ridecount:
The Swarm x3
Backwards in back row (right side)
Right
Left
Nemesis Inferno x3 (All back row)
X x3
Colossus x2 (Both front row)
Rush x2
Samurai x2
Saw x1
Slammer x1
Vortex x1
Logger's Leap x1
Rumba Rapids x1
Storm Surge x1
The Swarm: I had a look at the beginning of the day and it had a ridiculously long queue (both forwards and backwards). This changed at lunch. 5 minute queue to go backwards. (It was a shorter wait then forwards!) I could not believe my luck! It is fun backwards, but it's certainly not essential. I prefer it forwards. I now like to stick to the inner seats, as I find the outer seats rattle a lot. Surprisingly more then any other coaster you get a good view from all seats. I dont think front row is essential.
Nemesis Inferno: Offers a much more intense ride in the afternoon which is when you should ride it! Front seats are not worth the extra queue time, there really isn't that much to look at!
X: Now on 4 trains, this ride is pleasant and smooth, and the lighting rig is vey cool. However the music is god awful!! I look forward to seeing what the new signs are like
Colossus: More enjoyable in the morning which is when I suggest you do it. Unlike the other rides, front row is absolutely essential. I was annoyed while the queuing for the ride, but this ride always brings a big grin to my face. When I went on for my second time there was a bit of rattle and a pigeon on the quadruple barrel rolls of which we nearly ran over.
Saw: Really jerky, which is a shame as I really would like to re-ride it, and it was once very good. Those indoor scenes are still brilliant though.
Storm Surge: My head got drenched, but my body did not. I am lucky I had a waterproof jacket. I was reminded of why I despise this ride
I had a wonderful time at Thorpe, and with the exception of Strom Surge, Slammer and Colossus operations were fantastic! I had a very good day, and despite being mildly busy in places, I have an impressive ride count of 21. Its my best yet.
Next Monday's TR : Blackpool with Club PBE on the 27th and all the Merlinpool attractions
