Im trying to find the cheapest way to get to Europa by public transport. I have looked and with timings the simplest way is to go to. It seems like Basel to Freiburg and then taxi to Europa. But im looking at £1000 each for 5 days. Is that excessive? Any way to bring cost down?

When are you going? Ryanair are resuming flights to Strasbourg from Stansted at the end of March, which are around £60-£70 return. Then from Strasbourg it's a case of public transport to Rust (around £15 for the entire one-way journey).
