Olympia Looping - Travelling

Not been on Sik, Monster or Zeus.

Usually I like to give unridden nominees a reasonable fighting chance, but knowing the kind of rides I like I can't see any of them topping Taron or Lech.

Olympia Looping is a bit crap.

Sik is crap

Have lots of love for OL in 7 car spec

Taron's great...

But Lech is better.

Not ridden Monster or TdZ

Easiest choice so far.

Taron and Lech are two of Europe's outstanding coasters.

Also the first group where I have ridden all six options.

I’ve ridden Olympia Looping from this group, but I didn’t rate it at all.

I voted for Taron and Lech Coaster in this group.

Only done 2 and Taron is one of them and gets my vote. Lech I should have ridden but I did a Griswold on it...still voted for it however

It's between three for me and it's a tough one. The three are Taron, Monster and Lech. Of the three I have only ridden Taron, which is a great coaster if not slightly overhyped. I think Taron and Lech are likely to both be easy winners here, so I'll go for Monster and Lech.

Olympia Looping is absolutely fantastic for a travelling ride but I wouldn't put it up there with some of these other choices. No shame in that either as travelling rides really shouldn't be rated as highly as it is. That's testament to the designer and manufacturer.

Tactical voting you say, sure - why not?

OK Lech gets a well-deserved vote entirely on merit. T2Z however is a bit of a fanboy vote to show some love for my former #1 wooden coaster (admittedly this was about 12 years ago but still). It's been through good and bad times and I've not visited Asterix since the "deUX" conversion so it's something of a speculative vote.

Taron is obviously great but it still bugs me that it spends so much time meandering around somewhat aimlessly.

Of the others, I'm yet to ride Monster and Sik. I'm a (relative) fan of Colossus so might have voted for Sik in a weaker group. I'm not really sure what to make of Monster though I'm not expecting it to be one of B&Ms finest.

OL is decent but I like it more as a technical feat than an actual coaster. "How does this thing travel‽"

You might be okay on Sik but for the err well built amongst us it is painful when it hangs your bodyweight on your thighs when you have plenty to hang

That's why I (controversially) prefer Colossus. Because I'm super slim, I have more room either side of me on SIK, which means I get painfully jostled about more.

I've not been on it, maybe it is crap, but seems a real shock that Monster lost this group.
