Universal Orlando (Studios/IOA/Epic Universe) : General Discussion

It's a ride based on the biggest creatures ever to roam the land. I'd be a bit miffed if you couldn't see from other parts of the park tbf. Hahahahaha

;)

It's based on raptors. Just turkeys without wings, remember. ;)

I don't think it looks too terrible. However, while I recognise that space is at a premium at Universal, and the coaster is obviously going to be phenomenal, I will miss that perfectly arranged view of the Discovery Centre nestled in the trees across the lagoon.

I think that this is likely to be the most intense coaster ever installed at a 'themed', premium park ala Universal or Disney, surely? Certainly almost the best ratio of theming to thrill.

I'm sure they'll plant plenty of trees around this ride. The coaster looks fantastic so far.

Apparently supports are in place for some sort of rock work in various places around the ride, so it definitely won’t be devoid of theming by any means!

You can tell where the rock work is going, as they have wrapped the track in plastic to protect it.

Duelling Dragons and the Incredible Hulk were/are pretty thrilling. But I do think IoA has always been the best blend of rides in any premium park, particularly after Harry Potter opened.

I'm sure it'll be a superb coaster, but it's such an eyesore on the skyline.

Universal's projects tend to only look good from a couple of angles anyway. The enormous Forbidden Journey show building behind Jurassic Park doesn't exactly suggest that sightlines are their priority!

Wow! That will be quite some ride if the rendering is even remotely accurate! The first launch looks almost on par with a hydraulic launch in terms of strength, and the elements in the rest of the ride look simply delectable!

I sincerely hope I can ride it in 2022, and I even think it could be in with a decent chance of knocking Icon off the spot of my top launch coaster if I do!

IOA was already my favourite theme park, and I always felt that while good, its coaster selection was one of its weaker elements, so with this and Hagrid’s both having been installed since my last visit, then IOA will hopefully be cemented in this position to an even greater degree when I do eventually return!

Florida is being absolutely spoiled rotten recently. The developments at Disney, Universal and the Sea world owned parks are just getting better and better and more frequent too. Can't wait to get over there in 2 years time. I will be whoring this beast as much as possible over the 3 to 4 days.

Iron Gwazi and this coaster too really are taking the thrills up a notch in Florida for sure.

It's no wonder that it will have many more visitors over the next years!
