Just spotted the news on CoasterForce that B&M will be making a new flying coaster, a concept which still has a heck of a lot of potential, for the Chinese park called Wanda Xishuangbanna.

This is the same park which recently announced their plan at IAAPA to build this...

RCDB lists it as an invert. If it's not a flyer, could we be seeing another new style of inverted coaster, like Kings Island's Banshee?

The music on that video is very similar to the Samurai theme at Thorpe (not the same though)

Concept art for the rest of the park can be seen here. There's also artwork for the new B&M flying coaster here. Manta clone?

The big news this week has been the announcement of a new B&M Flyer for China at Wanda’s Xishuangbanna International Resort. Little info is available on the ride but a bit of digging finds the image below on the Qiguang Group website under a link for the Xishuangbanna International Resort project.
The Qiguang Group have been responsible for the construction of several rides in China including last years Intamin fly rider at Victory Kingdom and the S&S 4D at China Dinosaur Park so its not a stretch to think they may be involved here (if only in ride construction). Look closely and you can see the Wanda logo in the background.

Hearing rumours that the flyer could be called "Butterfly Illusion"

and thus the amazing Chinese flying coaster names continue :)

Crystal Wing - Superman in a massive fortress
Starry Night Ripper (Sky Scrapper in English) - Air with an off the wall layout
Butterfly Illusion - Manta inspired?

Bit of a bump for this topic, however CoasterForce member 'roomraider' has just posted a picture released by Wanda detailing the lead car for the millennium flyer train on the new under construction GCI Woodie, 'Viper'.

I have to say, for a millennium flyer that is totally different. But it looks amazing, yet another reason to be excited for what looks set to be another fantastic GCI Woodie... (That I will likely never ride! :()

A look at the completed Flyer, photos from CoasterForce:

Similar layout to Manta but not a clone. I love the dive back through the pretzel loop!

The park also appear to have installed a coaster from Intamin, similar to Divertical at Mirbilandia:

It's not really been covered in this thread but CGI have posted a POV of the woodie Viper being built at this park:

Very very long! Looks good.

:)

I've only just realised, Viper isn't actually at this park? It's at Wanda City in Nanchang...
