Watched anything good lately?

Really enjoyed the new Marvel TV show  Wonderman, such a wild and fun swing. The main character is an actor, who happens to have some powers, but he just wants to be an actor as he auditions to play Wonderman in a reboot. Even better is Sir Ben Kingsley appearing as scouse actor Trevor Slattery, with him being regularly recognised as The Mandarin.

So very much more in line with something like The Studio or Entourage than anything else Marvel have done.

Watched an early 90s British film called 'Naked' last night (by Mike Leigh). Pretty racey in parts and mainly featuring some pretty degenerative Manc bloke. Pretty good in all honesty. Would defo recommend if you're into gritty stuff

How to Get to Heaven from Belfast
This new Netflix series, written by Lisa McGee (the writer of Derry Girls), is possibly the strangest thing I’ve watched in a while. It’s pretty gripping, and definitely a good watch, but I still can’t quite decipher aspects of it even having watched the whole series… it’s definitely quite weird! I’d struggle to fully explain the plot even now… I’d recommend it, and it’s a good watch, but it’s definitely a bit bizarre! It’s one of those shows that will have you asking a lot of questions…

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms (TV Series)

A Song of Ice and Fire story based on the books series "Tales of Dunk and Egg" written by George R. R. Martin. One more episode to go, but couldn't help myself and gush a little about it after last night's episode. If you long for the good old days of Game of Thrones you simply must watch! It has that same grounded feeling that I've longed for in the series, and the main character Ser Dunk is very endearing, especially considering his relationship with Egg, his squire. It has a much more relaxed tone and does not take itself too seriously in comparison to other ASoIaF shows, will still tug at your heartstrings however.
