Weight loss

You might find this year's Royal Institution Xmas lectures interesting this year. It is aimed at kids but isn't stupid, and is all about food, energy use, exercise, metabolism and all that jazz. Available on iPlayer.
 
@MarkR77 - throwing my weight loss plan for the year in here in case you need additional ideas.

I’ve always found I’m better at having definitive rules and targets. However, these are often short term. So, I’ve set three achievable year-long rules

250 days of 1,700 cals or less
250 booze-free days
1,350 mile walked/ran
