Quick we need a distraction!
Are the toilets getting themed? Galactica tunnel getting any love? Is it true Wuzeball is coming to Winter Wonderland finally? What are the queue times for the Swiss Cottage? Yadda yadda yadda....
Nah, that's pie in the sky stuff. Now if it was your cousins neighbours aunts dogs groomers mums hairdresser, I'd have believed youI heard from my cousins neighbours aunts dogs groomers dads hairdresser that we are getting more worlds first benches!
I'd expect Wicker Man to have a fair bit of work done over closed season. Wonder if it'll be even smoother next year?Pssst...
Closed season or not, back on topic now please

I'm sure the trains are numbered 1, 2 or 3 on the front or back on the chassis I think, can't remember whichPersonally I'm wondering how long it will be until the heavy maintenance sections of track are modified to use GCI hybrid track they announced this year (or was it last year?) [https://greatcoasters.com/steel-track] since I pretty sure the trains are compatible and the track can be mixed and matched.
Only down side, it would probably make some sections way too smooth. What I love about Wicker Man is the feeling of out of control as the train tries to escape the rails. Having it all smooth would just ruin the ride in my personal view. I also think that my ride in October was smooth enough.
I will add, that I do believe that one of the trains is not set up perfectly since I've have good and bad rides in the same day. Just wish I knew of any markers on the trains to identify which one to the 3 it is to confirm my suspicions or prove I'm talking out of my arse .
As mentioned above Coaster Touring who is usually very reliable has said that Wickerman is being re-tracked in places using the new iron wood system
Probably coming from the same place as the cross valley B&M hyper "rumours" - Broadmoorwhat inversion rumours?
I don't think it was ever an official thing was it? If I remember, the idea of it came about in the community because of the 2 angled lift hill and the shallow angle of the main part of it? I could be wrong thoughI was just looking through TS’ SW8 page, and I was wondering; what happened to the “silent magnetic lift system” originally intended for Wicker Man?
I only ask because it eventually opened with a regular chain lift that’s quite possibly the loudest on park… did they agree to have the “silent lift system” clause removed from the planning application or something?
I'm glad it never happened though because Wicker Man wouldn't be the same without that chain noise and getting deafened as you walk under it!Yup it featured in the Noise Impact Assessment (Page 4). No idea how or why it got through despite that not being a thing, but never mind!
Yes they do look better have to say. Anyone know if Wicker man is on 2 trains today or is it still on 1?Wicker Man has a new burning screen effect replacing the old screens by the looks of it!
