Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two
There’s certainly no way it’s only 44mph when it’s warmed up. Feels faster than Nemesis and smiler to meAnother confirmation that Wickerman is absolutely HAULING at the moment! Saturday was my favourite experience on it so far; simply flying around that track!

How did they slow Runaway Mine Train down, out of interest?Let's just hope they don't slow it down on purpose like they did with the Mine Train.
I imagine that slowing Wicker Man down would be a bit harder than slowing down Runaway Mine Train, though, as that is a powered coaster and has a degree of controllability in terms of its speed.

Aren't millennium flyer trains like most woodie trains. . . They have metal wheels. . ?They can swap the wheels for softer or harder compounds to tweak the speed.
Hence the particular noise they make and the clatter across track joints. .
Went to the park for the first time this year and was on Wickerman twice throughout the day. The last ride of the day and I have to say it is absolutely FLYING. It's the fastest I have known it to be. Loads of air time in the seat. Every year it's getting better and better and is easily one of the best coasters in the park. They also had the flames going on the shoulder too.

Wow. Honestly, Wicker Man, absolutely beautiful today. Rode amazing. Forgot how good it is.
End of a sunny day, anywhere on the train to be fair and it's best at the park for me. Top 3 in the country easily.
However, no flames!

I was gutted when the log flume went but it was a fantastic decision to put WM in there. (I'd have rather had a bigger version in place of the rapids and have kept the flumes but hey ho.).

Wickerman is a great replacement for a good but ageing flume. It gets better with each ride, although I do wish the queue fences were slightly lower so you could see the ride better. But for obvious reasons they can’t be.
Great ride. But agreed a replacement flume is needed. Leave the rapids along though. When fully operational they are a great ride.
I’d like to see a further addition in the area though.

It's crazy to think that Wickerman essentially sits on what was The Flume's station and queue line, with most of the layout (of what was once the world's longest log flume) unbuilt on.I’d like to see a further addition in the area though.

Wasn’t that part of the planning agreement though - that the woods area got returned to being …. Well…. Woods
