Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two

That's the general public though. The same GP who pay the bills. In a way it's the best sort of review, it wasn't made from sweet talking or offering free alcohol and a ViP event. It's what many will be thinking about the ride from the general advertising campaign.

True. But if they truly expect to go through actual fire as they seemed to imply then that is more fool them!

I don't personally think that the promotional artwork is false advertising as they make it out to be. Yes there looks to be more actual fire on it but it is an advert, and how many times do we see advertisements for all sorts of thing that are not an actual representation of the actual product?

:)

Nemesis and Galactica are both shown to have vekoma track in promotional art, I'm thinking of suing the park for false advertisement as I didn't get the rough ride I was promised.

Finally got on WM today after my previous visit on (snow)pening day.

It was pouring with rain before and during our ride around 6pm so it really was flying round the course. I'm all about airtime on coasters and theres a decent amount on this... Nothing too extreme but just enough. The ride length is short yes but it's relentless in its pacing so that's fine.

I only got on it once but it seems very re-ridable. Can't wait to revisit on a quieter day.

Wouldn’t be me if I couldn’t find something to moan about. And that the only thing I can find, so in a round about way that’s a good thing.

Still dont like getting a face full or water though. It’s not a water ride.

One thing which I would have liked to have seen on WM is when in the preshow, when erm... '''' starts to happen, if some heaters blew hot air into the room to create a heat effect.

Bit of an over exaggeration I suspect, the loading seems to be alternating in speeds however.

They seem to be having issues pushing the restraints down so they keep manually releasing some to try again.

When the restraints release when exiting the don’t go all the way up, this seems to stop them coming down on next run so I saw staff this week pushing the restraints up fully after ever exit.

I saw that yesterday. They swapped two people around in their seats after a non lock warning. The control system was happy after that.

Anyway i think i will give my thoughts on WM.

Basic theming in the disabled queue line, although the sound track volume could be an issue for some riders.

The pre show was good. There was a lot of feel it in your chest baseline. The bit after it goes dark works much better than another ride, as alignment is not thrown off by vibration.

The station look nice. Simple all over theming, that fits the back story.

The ride itself has a good pace to it. Really enjoyable.

I have said during the build that this is going to an experience. And it is, a new ride type for the park and they have taken the risk and its paid off in my option.

In the queue for WM again, it will be my third ride so I’ll probably have my final verdict on it by the end of the day.
