You sure you're not suffering from lack of sleep, Rob?Nice one from yesterday.
Start of autumn, nice can of soup for lunch.
To check the date...I looked on the bottom of the pan.

Due to mental decline and hospitalisation, I have just had to cancel the car insurance on behalf of a very elderly punter.
No names, no pack drill...but I will admit the refund for the half year or so unused, to give all the drivers on here an idea of old age motoring costs...
£2750.
And I am well aware that he shopped around and purchased via a skilled broker...who was ace.

How old are we talking? At that point, when retired, I think I'd be giving up the car and making good use of a bus pass (which probably won't be free for pensioners if I ever get to that age). Get the main shop delivered from Tesco or wherever and top up occasionally by using the bus or local shops (if possible). Loss of freedom to just jump in the car at will would be a bit of a bummer though, admittedly.Double post...length of time between postings allowance claimed.

That was the one.
He had ridden around the top of the north Yorks moors for eighty odd years, and chucked the lecky bike in the back of the car to "keep on keeping on".
Offroading round the back of Malham until 92.
Bowling club three times a week, and holidays with good walking friends three or four times a year in the lakes area...
Currently 94, he aged ten years in a month.
Found him the right care home today as well, where his wife lived for her last few years.
