You'd clear the shuttle if it was just minor works. The fact it has been left dumped does lean more towards a lift motor. -

Even Talocan makes some interesting noises at times, covered partly by the music. I very much doubt it's all neglect.

If the tunnel was in danger of caving in, the whole of X Sector would be closed off. ..... At least, I would hope it would.
