Iron Gwazi
Towers was fairly quiet today, given it was a Saturday. Queue times were massively exaggerated a lot of the time, which was great for us! I was on park with 7 non-geeks and @JayM! Onto the rides (not in order of riding)...

Air x1
Queue time boards stated 45 mins, when in reality we were only waiting 20-25 minutes. Smooth, yet boring as ever, but everyone else wanted to do it, so why not!

Nemesis x1
For the first time ever, I actually walked through part of the extended queue line, which was a new experience for me. There's some cracking, unusual views from up there, I tell ya! She's still the beast and really does pack a punch, all the way 'til the end; what God intended. ;)

Oblivion x1
Given that there was a break down, AND an e-stop to retrieve someone's phone that they decided to get out on the lift hill, the queue was fairly short. We got on back row, and I was in the very right seat, which was amazing on the over bank!

Rita x1
Really enjoyed Rita this morning, perhaps because it was practically walk-on. Absolutely adore that insane air time you get, and the launch is great.

Runaway Mine Train x1
Nice fun family coaster! Was nice to know that Josh Charleton remembered me and my name, despite not having spoken to him properly before! I did notice that the smoke machine was on, but was pumping hardly anything out. :(

Thirteen x2
We did this at the very start of the day too, so was walk-on, and we did it twice. Air cannons were working in the crypt which is always good, however, the shutter... oh the shutter, didn't work, AGAIN! It's not worked on any of my trips this season, which is disappointing.

The Flume x1
The giant duck in the tunnel is dire now. It now only seems to have back lighting meaning you can't see it's features, there's not loud quacking sound, and I'm pretty sure it always used to roll forwards at you down a ramp! Plus, no power showers were working in the tunnel, yet they were after the 3rd drop.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory x1
Boat ride rubbish, elevator average. Elevator is MUCH more fun if you don't hold on, especially when you're falling back into the factory at the end.

Duel x1
Didn't notice any lights were/weren't working, and the same effects that have been broken all season are still broken.

Enterprise x1
What on earth do they think they're doing, only having ONE staff member operating AND hosting?! It's like a bloody fun fair attraction. So much faff with the disabled queue. Took absolutely ages to batch, and the cycles were very short, although it felt like we were on for a substantial amount of time. Also more fun if you don't hold on!

Hex x1
Wow, what can I say?! Definitely the best run on Hex I have ever had! Pre-show was same as ever, but the Octagon was full of theatrical smoke, which really added to the experience, I thought. Also, in the drum room, they had smoke coming out from under the branch in the middle, another fantastic effect! Only thing that spoilt it were the chavs on their phones, and that we were waiting ages for the Octagon videos to start.

Numtums Number Go Round x1
Did this for a laugh, because it never gets queues over 10 minutes. Filmed a long-distance selfie pole POV of the ride, which was rather fun! I noticed that in the middle of the ride, there're benches for adults to sit down on while the children are on the ride. Did Doodle Doo Derby ever have this?

Ripsaw x1
I'm no where near geeky enough to tell which cycle we had, so don't ask! They had to bring the OTSRs up and down a number of times before the cycle, I assume because of a large person. We didn't get wet, but got quite close to being!

Sharkbait Reef x1
All I did was walk through here without stopping, just so it could be added to my ride count. :p I didn't realise that Varney featured on the SEALIFE video right at the end of the attraction... @DiogoJ42

Twirling Toadstool x1
Look, it was there, and we were waiting for Hex to open. Alright? In all seriousness though, I really enjoyed this ride! Gives you a better feeling of flying than Air IMO.

Monorail x1
Skyride x2

Total ride count today of: 19, making my yearly total 177 yea far. :D Not too bad, considering this is only my 9th theme park trip this season. :)

No, not this time! 5 of our group wanted to do it, and joined the queue as we were leaving Hex, as it was a 2 hour queue. I was not prepared to stand in that! So we three did Skyride from DF all the way to TS, did Towers Trading, then took a leisurely walk back to the hotels, where 2 of us sat and watched the end of Pirate Bill's final performance in ATH. :( His spotty floppy wand will always have a place in our hearts.

I went up to him at the end and wished him a very happy retirement, which he seemed very grateful for!

The Duck did used to roll forwards, but I don't think this has worked for a number of years, in fact I think it is just stuck at the front now. Also the showers inside haven't worked for me on my past few rides (not that I do it that often!)

That is one thing that always annoys me about Enterprise at Towers, it only ever operates with one staff, which is fine on a quiet day but on a busy day it would be so better to have two staff, then one can let people in, while the other closes the doors to each car. Then it would also be twice as quick to let everyone out. The enterprise at Thorpe usually has two or sometimes three staff! (Last year I did it and it had four staff as one was training!)

I think Doodle Doo Derby also had benches in the middle.
