Went AT yesterday with family, all of us renewed our passes but we're told we weren't getting our privilege pack as they have none in stock ! Anyone else had this ?
 
I would chase them up over this as it's an advertised perk of the pack and you're paying for it as part of the pass' price.

Hope they get one sent to you :)
 
Didn't they write down your details to arrange collection/delivery? That's generally what they do when they run out..
 
i brought my merlin pass today, i brought myself a premium and my wife a standard as i couldn't see any advantage to paying for two, was i wrong to do this or was it a smart move?

Probably a smart move, dude! I assume the only perk you plan on taking advantage of is the free parking, and if it is, then wise move indeed as only one person in your car needs to have a Premium MAP for the parking. :)
 
yes mate, that was the reason really. i couldn't see many other justifications. the pack would be nice but don't think we would use it. i also fought if i went to other attractions we could go straight to front with mine and she still wouldn't have to pay.

Huh? If you mean fastrack, you've got the wrong idea. The unlimited fastrack is only available with the VIP annual pass, and you would need to have one each to utilise the perk.
 
I got a std MAP in the end as it would only have been car paking that I got out of the premium , however the barcode has already started to come away , it still scanned in ok, but where can I get one of those lanyards from ?
 
What do you mean "the barcode has already started to come"?

And regarding the lanyards, I assume you're on about those quite frankly disgusting yellow/orange ones with Premium MAP down the side? You don't get those with the standard one, but if you want mine, I'd be grateful to have such a repulsive item from Merlin Entertainments removed from my house.

The barcode is scratched off, we only got them on Wednesday , used them twice, sealife and towers, there doesnt seem to be any protection against them being scratched off in my wallett, I wasnt thinking specifically a merlin one, just something to protect that barcode ...bu thanks :0)
 
There's nothing more embarrassing than walking around Towers and seeing a group of 16 year old enthusiasts walking around with their bright lanyards on, most likely paid by their parents. Ew. :p

If you're after a lanyard you could always have a look on Amazon. They aren't that expensive to get. I got this one for uni and it served me well for 3 years: Click me. Towers used to sell Alton Towers Resort lanyards a few years back (not sure if they do now) so you could always look in Towers Trading and see if they sell anything like that. :)
 
You can always tell the real enthusiasts from the ones who just have the MAP, because the real ones won't be wearing the horrid lanyards! I've not used a single thing out of my "privilege" pack this year, and don't intend to either. The lanyards are a great advertising strategy!

No way! As previously stated, I'm very "anti-fastrack". I hate the thing. If someone offered to buy me fastrack for the day, I'd say no, because it's pointless and a waste of money. It's not about the rides anyway, it's about the social aspect. Anyway. £5 worth of fastrack is nothing, and will get you nothing, other than a ride on ONE coaster, all of which I've done multiple times this year.

So you won't use a free fastrack ? Strange, me and my family will and shall walk proudly with our lovely lanyards on ;)
