February Half Term 2015

RE: February half term - I personally am still hopeful that they decide to do a December weekends/school holidays event in future... surely it would be far more lucrative and the park would be able to do SO much more with it...!

:)

Given that the Santa lunches and Santa sleepovers seem to have sold out very quickly this year I think there is potential if they concentrates on adding to the family line up and particularly on indoor attractions for the winter.

I think they will keep pushing Feb Half term as a family event really.

The new coaster on Feb Half Term? Unlikely.

That would risk guests coming.
It's the one thing which confuses me - they do love to try and limit the amount of guests interested in visiting. Never really known of somewhere deliberately trying not to get the guest numbers in..

As they can only get half the parks winter maintainance before half term they can't open the whole park. If they can't open all the rides then capacity is reduced.

Chessington only advertise the zoo and a tiny number of rides open for half term, so again reduce capacity. Then the park reaches capacity, there is a 2hr queue for the few rides that are open and lots of complaints. Better to not have too many people and they all have a good time, than be packed and everyone is pissed off.

It's good to see they are attracting the actual stars to come and perform at Cbeebies Land.
I'm still secretly hoping for Nina.

Who said it's the real cast/actor? They could do it like they do with the other live shows in CBL and have pre recorded clips which they show on a screen in sync with AT ents staff responding in sync. This is what they do with the Nina show anyway.

:)

It says on the twitter feed to join Mr Bloom in his live show, I would be very surprised if it was just a video.
Even AT aren't that daft surly.

Hmm on second thoughts........

It's only for a few days and they are showing the real actor on posters so I doubt it will be someone pretending to be him. Otherwise you would have some angry kids and parents!

It only for half term opening, and that is 9 days. I can see Ben Faulks being able to do that. It is shorter than most theatre productions runs. and he can stay on site for the run.

The other thing is, Mr Bloom's Nursery is his own IP.

Alton towers are really pulling out all there cards with this feb half term. First securing mr bloom who is a big children's personality, then when everyone has booked a visit they announce there trump card! Justin Fletcher, who is the biggest kids entertainer around, everyone under the age of 6 knows who he is. Announcing it just before the event I can see many parents buying an extra day to see him. This is the sort of thing towers need to do all year, I have the fealing cbeebies land is going to be unbearably busy!

Yeah it would be good if they managed to do things like this throughout the year. Maybe even involve some of the real actors to come along for the busy Scarefest weekend.
