Just seen the preview for tonights episode: Mr. Portillo takes a ride on Rita!
 
Well, they managed to fit most of the main points in to such a short segment. However, it didn't go un-noticed that the Towers representative called the house 18th century (when stood in the Hex queueline), when she obviously would have meant 1800s ;)
 
I see it was filmed before 2nd June. It was fun watching Portillo getting a rita launch on the front seat.
 
Michael Portillo's Great British Railways Journey is from Carlisle to Alton Towers this week. The Alton Towers episode will be broadcast tomorrow at 6:30pm on BBC2
thanks! i've just watched it- it was really interesting, plus i learnt a fact about Hex's building that i didn't know!
