That is not what happened!
That's how business works, you try and negotiate the best possible deal for yourself, but expect to meet in the middle
That is not what happened!
So Alton Originally planned to reduce ERT, and have half the rides open by 10 and the rest by 11.
Wait a minute, this will cause outrage, so let put it out there that we will have our major rides open at 12, everyone will complain, give it a week and then we will make it look like we back tracked to our original plan, and everyone is happy
"We're the good guys! Honest!"
I'm not falling for this "reversal", apart from the 12 pm being dropped to 11 am, the rest is the same, except reworded and not as specific. The original statement fits into this one fairly nicely...
...and they will extend ride close if guest numbers hit the required levels.
12pms to 11am (and some 11am will become 10am on busy days), Rapids are now open all season and they will extend ride close if guest numbers hit the required levels.
Oh man! I can't wait to see that 5:00 pm increased to 5:30 pm!
Better than nothing is it not?
I'm not saying everything is fine all of a sudden, because quite clearly it is not. However the situation is far better now than it was on Monday.
I still think 11am is too late for both of Dark Forest and Forbidden Valley to open (assuming that is the plan), but it seems like on busier days at least this will not be the case.
Don't fall for it, people. This is all part of their plan!
I really really really really really really really really hope there isn't anyone out there who thinks this is done out of the goodness of their hearts...
