The coaster line up now if we're honest (and take our anti Merlin hats off for a second) is pretty amazing. Up there with any park in Europe.

Okay they may be light years behind some in all the other areas but if you're a coaster enthusiast then you can't really get much better in mainland Europe in terms of depth.
Well we have nemesis and now up their at that high level Wicker man!

Wow, What have I just seen? My excitement was already high for this but it seems it's jumped up a level.

I'm shivering with excitement! :D

According to those who have ridden, the whole package is incredible including the ride itself!

The folk I know who have been today are saying the overall package is very good, the ride is just “fun”.

Not trying to put a downer on anything but last thing you want is everyone getting overhyped then be disappointed on the 17th.

From what I have seen, everything from a thematic point of view looks spot on. Looking forward to seeing it all myself a week on Saturday!

Sounds like the ride is a solid family coaster as expected.

:)

Uh oh, something not quite as good... The staff uniforms...

Looking forward to opening day - the ride does look good as does the themeing, but, it did look quite short to me having watched the video..... anyway, i'm sure this ride will be like Thirteen - bash it as much as people want, its a very re-ridable coaster and i am sure Wicker Man will be the same.

You're more likely to find that general H&S put a stop to anything exciting on the uniforms. Nothing that can easily get caught in / on the ride, or on people. Best way to be safe really.
The guys clothing looks decent, surely even with h&s they could have come up with a. Better cost then the one they did

Nice to see that the attraction has little touches of theming aside from just the Wicker Man structure himself! Overall, this looks incredibly impressive, and one of the best themed wooden roller coasters in the world! And the actual coaster looks quite good! Much better than many expected from the aerial drone video!

Ok so I've got a quick breather now the event has ended, so a quick review from me. The whole experience is brilliant. The audio is top notch, the pre show is fantastic (It's not too long, not to short, works brilliantly and has a great finale to it). The station looks fantastic, and there's still some tweaks to be done, but everything has a real quality look/feel to it.

The ride really warms up as the day goes on, back row is the best without a doubt. Obviously it's not going to be the most thrilling woodie in the world, but there's some fantastic pops of airtime and the speed is faster than I thought it would be. Coupled with the mist/smoke effects (there's lots, and on murky days it really hangs around like Oblivion's drop) it really creates a thrilling ride. The corner mid ride is a little boring, but it soon gets going again with the drop after it.

Overall I'm far more impressed than I thought I would be, it's Merlin's most polished ride to date without a doubt. Riding at the end of the day as it gets dark is going to be a really fun experience.

That’s fantastic to hear, I really can’t wait until opening day.
