Rollercoaster Restaurant: General Discussion

Here's a couple I took before it went on the wall.

The video that plays in the restaurant has now been updated to include Wicker Man

Bit naughty to cover air and Galactica as two separate rides? I do like the teaser what next? Perhaps a flat or two? Blade and enterprise had bigger queues than oblivion yesterday so obviously people want to ride them.

It is so frustrating having seen Astro's post on Facebook from a few weeks ago where the plates were covered in remnants of the previous meal, accompanied by rude management to then see the complete opposite scale here with an enjoyable experience.

This restaurant is one of the most inconsistent offerings on the entire resort, which should not be the case given it's the premium offering. There seems to be no middle ground either; it's a great meal and experience or it's utter arse with no middle ground to distinguish between the two.

We shouldn't have to spin a service quality roulette wheel before dining here.

Merlin give with one hand and take away with the other. I had breakfast booked in splash for 9, still in the bloody queue with lots of other u happy people with reservations. What’s the point in taking bookings?! The hotels are an utter shambles. And don’t get me started on the check out by 10 or now we’ll charge the card you have to leave as a deposit!

They need to sort out the track where the food gets stuck all the time. Not great you have to wait for someone to come over to prod it with a stick while your dinner sits in the roof going cold.

Did they fix the Smiler's cobra roll jolt that was there from day 1?

Not a chance they will bother amending something as trivial as the RR track.

I went a week after Dan's bad visit and everything was good. Good service, clean plates and nice food. I had no complaints.

Perhaps after bad experiences they get lots of complaints and so work really hard to overcome them... then over time they become complacent and standards drop again. It's a shame as it's a good experience when it's done properly.

I went to the Rollercoaster Restaurant for the first time earlier this season, and found the experience to be very enjoyable. The dining concept where your meals are all delivered by rail is very novel and the light and music show every now and again is pretty entertaining to watch, as is watching people’s meals fly around the track before descending to their tables!

The food itself was very nice too – our only complaint would be that the food wasn’t as hot as it should have been, therefore going cold before we’d finished it entirely. Not a massive problem, and hopefully something that they will work to improve for the future.

All in all, a really good experience, but there’s no denying that it’s pretty expensive! :)

I had a lovely meal at the Rollercoaster Restaurant this evening! Service was very efficient, the food was lovely and on the whole it was a genuinely lovely and different experience that I thoroughly enjoyed; just as good as my last meal there in July 2017! My mum and nan, who had never been before, also really liked it and seemed somewhat surprised that the restaurant got such negative reviews online; I was too!
