Wicker Man - General Discussion - Part Two

I'm hoping the lack of fire effects is just a temporary glitch and they'll get it working again soon, rather than some sort of money saving or an apathy for running it properly...

Probably the same reason the coaster is having issues, it’s new tech and new tech has issues.

In 3 years time it will be cuts to blame but today ultimately if the fire conks out midday and it requires more than a reset are they really going to shut the ride down to fix it during a 70min queue?
 
Has the "simulated flame" in the ride station worked at all? I remember hearing in one of the interviews that it was to have faux fire, but only remember seeing red lighting on my visit?
 
There was a thin, light, rising mist creating a fire effect behind the wicker exit wall on my visit, and I thought it was reasonably convincing, aided by being a bit disguised behind the wicker.
 
The simulated fire wall in the station works, but I believe changes are needed as it produces too much mist which then inhibits the ability to see properly in the station!

I am sure it will be sorted soon.

I’ve yet to witnes a firewall.
All I’ve ever seen is a shot of thin smoke with an orange led shining on it as you enter the brake run.

Is this it ?

Yes I was talking about the station, exit side wall. Covered with wicker that has red lights behind it. There was also a mist effect behind there when I went 28/03. It was a thin mist, but noticeable especially up close.

It can’t just be me who finds the ride a back breaker when you get a car to yourself.
