Energylandia (Poland): New Coasters

Think I'm guna make a trip for 2019. So cheap to fly and stay nearby too.

I wonder how much drag that big board creates, even with those holes cut in it?

Intamin have published the following video and photos of Hyperion:

Still a shame about the colour, but otherwise looks stunning!

:)

It's looking good. I don't really mind the colour to be honest. I think black is always a safe bet with coasters, I've not seen a coaster that doesn't suit it, whereas I've seen a lot of bright coloured coasters which I don't think look at good at all. :)

Yeah, I agree. I do actually think black can look quite swish at times! I wasn't too keen on this black to start off with, but it's grown on me now it's started being built!

Got to disagree. Think it looks an amazing coaster but the colour scheme is hideous.

It works for the Smiler due to the theme, compactness etc. All black on a hyper? Nah, Not for me. However I think it's safe to say it will blow the pants off the Smiler to ride though.

This excites the geek in me I love stuff like this but don't understand what they are doing.

Sometimes with new coaster, and Intamin especially like to do this, they pull through a train to make sure that there are no clearance envelope issues (and I suppose to make sure it runs smoothly along the rails). Safer to this this slowly than just let it go at full speed!

With regards to the testing, looks slow.... :p

:)

It's all very impressive. But the real crunch will be how it rides. I've not ridden this new style Vekoma Intamin track, but I've a horrible feeling it might be a rattler.
