Stargazing Pods

There's no need for that Matt! TowersSteet is a forum that welcomes all opinions however positive, negative or popular those opinions might be. More minority opinions are always likely to be challenged but that helps to create good discussion!
The difficult one Matt, is deciding if people are joking with you, or at you.
Your youthful innocence and enthusiasm is greatly enjoyed by many, just get used to people taking the mickey a bit.
Not everyone is as happy and positive as you.
No offence intended @Matt N I just don't have the ability to find any positives about these sheds. The more I read this thread the more embarrassing I find the offering!
Of course I'm not expecting everyone to agree with me; that's madness! I'm fully aware I have uncommon opinions and I post with that in mind!

LOL I took hotdogs in a flask to a farm last week to fly for the day and the bloody horses ate more of them than I did.

I like to think I'm one of the more positive posters Matt. I love AT to bits, I think it's a fantastic theme park and great value.

I agree with you 99 percent of the time.

But I can't see the attraction of this.

If it turns out be great, I will be the first to put my hands up, admit it, and pay a forfeit (let's say a pan of beans on the head with photographic proof). Unlike that Spin Doctor guy I will be true to my word, but I think I'm safe.

The things I do to get my ugly mug on this forum.

If it turns out to be great, i'll also tip a pan of beans on my head. But i'm extremely confident it will be literally like roughing it in a shed for FOUR TIMES THE PRICE of an en-suite hotel room.

Fixed that for you. Anyone else confident enough in their opinion that this will be crap to join the beans club and put their streetcred on the line?

Actually do us nerds have streetcred?

3.5 or better average score on trip advisor for the Stargazing pods only by the end of May and the Aldi Beans and sausages are out. I'm a man of my word but I'm safe :)

No doubt someone will quote me on this 01st June!

Incidentally, I'm predicting an average score of 1.8. What do you think?

I can't find the post anywhere, but someone on here definitely owes the eating of a hat from a year or so ago.

I'll admit that this accommodation is not really my sort of thing, but that's only because I was never really brought up going on this type of holiday. But I'm optimistic that those who like this sort of thing will find it a nice, cheaper alternative to the hotels. If I'm wrong when these open, then I apologise. But I remain optimistic that these will find their place within the Alton Towers magic!

As someone who enjoys this style of camping accomodation - I wouldn't be remotely interested in staying here because a) it's overpriced b) the facilities are inadequate. It doesn't add up.

If it was £50 a night, I would agree with you.

But for £150+ a night I'd at least expect more bogs, showers, some theming, and a complimentary towel.
