It's that time of year again - the 2018 TEA Attendance Report is out to view.
Key things are Seaworld Parks seem to be on a hell of a turn around with a 16% rise in Orlando and 20% in San Diego. Busch have had a modest rise of 4.5% too. Elsewhere in Florida Animal Kingdom did well with around a 10% rise year on year too.
Elsewhere in Europe, DLP have had a modest rise of 1.9%, Europa-Park only managed a rise of 0.4%, likely not helped by the fire I guess.
Merlin parks appear to have done ok, with double digit figures for Alton (10.5%), Gardaland (11.5%) and close to double for Chessington (9.9%) who sit right at the edge of the top 20. Thorpe as expected didn't fair as well but still a respectable 7.4% rise in numbers. Legoland was the worst performer with only a 2.9% increase, which considering the weather last year isn't great.
Port Aventura didn't see any addition to their figures whilst Asterix (8.7%) and Parque Warner (18.8%) both had stonking years. Phantasialand saw a small drop which should encourage them to crack on with the never ending construction site that is F.L.Y, surprisingly Liseberg saw a slight drop (0.2%), although fellow Swedish park Grona Lund seems to have seen the same too.
Of course as we know, many of the numbers will be estimates, but considering the difference in guest numbers between 2017 and 2018 for Towers for example it can be considered fairly accurate.
