Energylandia (Poland): New Coasters

When I visited in April there were significantly less guests on park than staff, I'd guess less than 200.
I’ve been there today and it’s been a very quiet day. The policy that you must get off after each ride, coupled with rides having to be full before being dispatched really does wear on your patience.

I think I spent half the day walking the Zadra and Hyperion queue-lines.

We have an animated POV of next year's Vekoma:

The first part seems to drag a little, but the coaster after the second launch looks fantastic!

Looks like it could beat out helix for my top launch coaster!
Love the fact the whole thing is basicly over the water and dives "under" it at times

Looks fantastic. I actually like the fact that it's a slow burner and only kicks in after 15-20 seconds. Build up the anticipation.

1000% booking a trip here next year.

Not entirely confident this will be a Helix beater; the first half looks a little lacklustre. That said, it's inevitably going to ridiculously smooth and no doubt make Formula feel redundant. Hopefully the theming lives up to the artwork standards as well.

You can tell it won't match Helix. It's shorter and that entire first bit looks entirely pointless.

But it does look very very good. This and Zadra are definitely enough to justify me going back next year.

Looopings have posted the full version of the video:

Looks like the trains have lap bars in this with no vests. Let's hope that is the case in the final product!

So in a bizarre change yesterday during a press event, the park announced that Aqualantis is actually the name of the new area, not the new coaster. That has been re-named to Abyssus (which I actually prefer).

In addition there will be a Zamperla Disk'O, and an accompanying water ride.

There will also be a shop and a restaurant, which will round off the new themed area.

The theming is being overseen by the Dutch company Jora Vision.

I think people misinterpreted the original press releases - and assumed the area and the coaster had the same name. If you look at Vekoma’s social media posts, for instance, they refer only to the area as Aqualantis and don’t name the coaster.

Wow, what an investment this is, looks stunning.

Only downside is the confrimation that the coaster will have vest restraints rather than just lap bars. Although I am not sure how Vekoma's vest restraints are?

They'd be better off with no vest restraints at all, however I find them far better than B&Ms as they remain flex throughout the layout. With the track inevitably being glass smooth as well, the chances of being thrown around into them are virtually minimal.

Best top 3 in Europe from next year onwards? I don't think anywhere else comes close does it?

Zadra and Hyperion are my no 1 and 2 for sure. Wildfire is a firm no 3 with helix 4. Didn't think I would ever see a hypercoaster beat out wildfire but Hyperion is just incredible.

I could see Abyssus being a 2, 3 or 4 for me with its layout and theming.

I meant best top 3 for any given park not that each coaster would be 1,2 and 3 in Europe just by themselves.

It's a very strong top 3 though. Phantasiland, Europa, Towers, PA & Liseberg etc all have strong top 3's too but I'd say this new addition at Energylandia puts them in 1st place for sure.

Seems like they have a lot of work to do before April based on those construction images!
