Random Big One-related question here; I'm aware that the first drop was reprofiled in 1997 due to the right turn apparently being too tight in the original iteration, but has the turnaround ever been reprofiled? Or has it only had track replaced?

Only asking because when I compare a POV of the Big One today to old footage (e.g. the footage shown in the construction documentary), I always think that the turnaround looks slightly smoother and more of a nicely flowing transition than it did in early POVs? Have they actually reprofiled this section during the ride's lifespan, or is it just my eyes deceiving me?
I believe it was made tighter to account for the speed loss on the first drop reprofile

The drop was reprofiled in the 1994/1995 off season. The turnaround between 96/97, or perhaps the following season.

The original turnaround was three left hand corners, with straight sections in-between, whereby the current is more of a continuous arc, without the intermediary straights.

Dreadful quality - but see here at 3:33 for the original -

If you compare the photos that @speedy posted and look at where the track meets the structure;

The first drop looks a lot smoother back then than it does now!
Interestingly, those who rode said that it was actually a lot rougher, especially in the back!
EDIT: @Rick; are you sure that the first drop wasn't redone later, because this TPR video filmed in 1996 apparently still has the original first drop, and the profiling definitely still looks original to me?:

Could be, Sherlock. Your internet videos know more than my frazzled brain.

They did something over 1994/95 closed season because it wasn't open for the first few 60p weekends of '95. Was seething.

I love Big One, not because it's a great roller coaster but because it's a great experience! Taking father-in-law there and it was his favourite just because of how high it is. There's just so much throughout the ride that makes you wonder what they were thinking when they were designing/building it, from the turnaround to the bodged(?) supports later on in the ride where the park have had to do some adjustments!

Which supports are these please?
