Unless I'm missing something... single riders isn't possible due to social distancing? You can't be put with anybody outside your household.
When i was there last week i asked one of the Smiler crew and they said there's no single rider queue at the moment - but i could ride if i joined the main queue.

I didn't because there was a huge queue and i was with someone who didn't want to ride.

As far as i know it's one social bubble per row, so single riders get a row to themself, on thier own.

Now always the case, a pair of single riders share a row.

I greyed out on Nemesis for the first time today after the helix. Is that a bad thing? I've never really experienced it before on a coaster it was weird

Nemesis is a really punchy coaster so it doesn't surprise me with how humid the weather is currently. It will be a force to be reckoned with tomorrow at 7pm in the heat!

And that’s why there is no separate single rider queue so each group would have a similar wait time in the main queue. In normal operations single riders fill in vacant seats left by odd numbered groups. In current operations those seats are left empty to allow for distancing so there is no need for a dedicated single riders line.

When I went on the 6th July the Smiler’s single rider was open, they just waited until there was a group of two and then left a seat between me and them. Great way of skipping a 100 minute queue. However, when I went back on the 27th and 28th it was closed.

I really wish Merlin would have single rider on all their coasters.

I queued just under an hour yesterday but I don't know if it was worth it. It felt a lot more juddery and just felt like it threw you around a bit more. That ending is brutal aswell. I was only wearing a top where as last time I had a jumper and coat and it didn't hurt as much, so maybe the extra layers protected my shoulders

That's perfectly normal, it pulls a lot of force at that part of the ride, happens on a few inverts. You ever been on a Batman clone? I think I blacked out the whole way through the one at Magic Mountain, although it was 35 degrees and I hadn't drunk much water that day o_O

I was so glad of the refillable drink cups at Magic Mountain! From memory the only place with aircon there was the queue for Superman the Escape, it was soooo hot in that park!

I remember Nemesis being more intense yesterday than I remembered. And the smiler aswell which surprised me more. I've not had many intense rides as such on it but that ride yesterday was ridiculous. It genuinely felt more forceful than nemmy yesterday (apart from the helix obviously)

The hot weather can make coasters run faster as the wheels are hotter.

Back in my student days, many many years ago, Middlesbrough Borough Council did a high level celebration display designed to be viewed from every part of the borough where you could see a little bit of open sky.
It was amazing, with only four firing zones, and high firing shells, each zone firing out in all four directions, N, S, E, W, so the whole sky was carpeted.
Shame I can't remember what the celebration was!
