Someone showed me these pics recently of an old 2012 Towers Employee map!

Does anyone have any other Towers employee maps from years gone by?

There was no such map back when I worked there early 2000s. I wonder when it was introduced.

And if I'm reading that right, employees aren't allowed to enter through Farley Gate? Not sure why that would be a problem as a car's a car, surely.

Assume that’s still a rule, as you’ll always see employees enter that way, and also if you ever follow a staff member out at the end of the day, they’ll always turn to the staff road and not go out the main gate.

I imagine there must be plenty who would leave out the main gate though.

Anyone else find the staff map even less helpful than the guest map? Due to the way they've had to distort the car parks into gaps never intended to represent them I can't actually tell which is which. Where for example is the car park next to Air?

The only purpose I can really see this map serving is to let staff know which entrances, toilets and smoking areas they can or can't use. Not to actually locate them.

I was there when this map was released, I don't know of one being released any other season, it was fairly useless as staff would either use their closest which obviously they would be shown on the first day or Magic HQ, how many times do you need to know where toilets are at the other end of the park?

Correct, this rule came in around the same time and I believe is still the case now. Leaving via main entrance is a disciplinary worthy crime, I believe its purpose is to reroute all staff past the security block.

Agreed the map seems pretty pointless as I was told about (and shown) all of these things on my first day.

Interesting, but I wonder why that's the case? Seems a bit pointless to me. As somebody who came from the Farley direction it would mean every day going the wrong way and having to loop back.

Though rare, random searches are not completely unknown especially if cash or items have gone missing and staff are suspected. Obviously these would be impossible if staff traffic were to be mixed in with the guest traffic.
