Universal Orlando (Studios/IOA/Epic Universe) : General Discussion

They are filling every seat which is a good sign.

I expect if it is operating with the public then social distancing will be used and not every seat will be filled.
Its possible the team members who did the test rides had Covid tests or something.

Velocicoaster merch alert! :D

If there’s one thing I HATE about universal is the lack of accessible single rider queue, meaning despite being on my own 99% of the time I’ve got to use the main queue, and some of the staffs attitude regarding the subject stinks, other that that I love the place.

Well that confirms an impending absolutely nothing in your pockets even if they are zip pockets policy! Looks damn good though.

Obviously I do not know what has happened when you've been there, but to be fair to the staff it is not their fault there is not such a queue. Management are to blame! Unless you mean guest services staff, in which case that is poor.

According to Theme Park Stop on You Tube, it's going to have baggage storage just before you board the train. That's good in my eyes as they can have less units as they're only storing the articles of those who are on the ride, as opposed to in the queue line. :)

That’s good, much better than the lockers outside the ride, also how many trains will it be running at anyone time, any information on the loading procedure? (Trains don’t stop with a belt)

I think it was testing with 3 or 4 trains recently. Will definitely be high capacity! :)

US Japan use the mid-queueline locker trick on Forbidden Journey - everyone in the queue is issued with a safety information card before going into the locker area, which they have to hand back to a host to enter the final part of the queue line (so you can't queue jump via the exit and lockers). It works much better than the system in Florida/Cali as the number of lockers is much less of a problem even with extremely long queue times.

Is FJ in Japan another clone, if yes where are the lockers? Also when I was last a universal they were expanding the lockers at FJ.

The lockers at Florida have moved further outside the ride round the corner towards Jurassic Park.

I expect the biggest reason they haven't gone with lockers midway in the queue much before is the risk of people rejoining from the exit. Two sided lockers would be a cool solution but probably take up too much space.

Mark the date; VelociCoaster officially opens on 10th June:

Hopefully America will be on the green list of permitted countries from 17th May so that some Britons can fly over and experience it not too long after it opens!

I myself won’t get to experience VelociCoaster in 2021, but I’m hoping for a potential ride in 2022 provided all goes well on the COVID front!
