Attractions that still scare you?

You can also add slammer to the list from Thorpe. It’s the one ride where it really did feel like your life was very much in the hand of the rather flimsy feeling restraints!

One of my favourite frightening aspects-of the experience is completely accidental; the speakers that accompany your ascent with bagpipe music crackling with signal issues as the wi-fi breaks around 250 feet.
And the way that it changes to an eerie choir shortly before you get to the top, as though you're at your own funeral. Jesus that thing really is terrifying!

A few good shouts in this thread so far, so to add my thoughts:

High-speed waterslides are some of the most terrifying rides out there. The first proper speed slide I did was at Caneva Aquapark in Italy - it has a trapdoor start which felt extremely sketchy. Even the ones from the big manufacturers aren't immune - I'm not sure which of the Blizzard Beach slides it was now, but IIRC there's a speed slide that has a sort of double drop, and "airtime" on a high speed slide just feels all kinds of wrong. Plus there's the issue that no-one has ever come up with a way of stopping you at the bottom that isn't grossly unpleasant.

In terms of rides, there's a small number of coasters that still get me. S&S/Arrow 4D coasters are a major one. To start off with you've got the frankly absurd seating position and restraints, then you've got the fact that they go up the lift hill backwards and extremely slowly so you don't know how far you have to go. Then there's the sheer size of them. Phenomenal rides once they get going though.

Sticking with ride types that can be found at SFMM, large B&M flying coasters - specifically on the lift hills where you're very high up and entirely dependant on the restraints. Air is mostly OK as it's not that tall, Tatsu on the other hand...

I think you might be thinking of Slush Gusher at Blizzard Beach, as that one is a triple-dip slide that isn’t quite as tall (I think 90ft?). I’ll admit that I rather enjoyed it and the airtime you get on it, as well as the speed, but I’ll agree that the airtime on it and Summit Plummet almost feels wrong, in a way!

Xpress: Platform 13 at Walibi Holland has quite a long frightening queue which made me jump a couple of times when walking through it for the first time. The actual track and train definitely isn't though.

Put me down for outdoor drop towers as well. However I only find them scary during grey weather. When it's sunny, I'm a lot calmer.

I LOVED that Sky Coaster! @Josh is a huge fan of it too ;)

Good grief that was an ordeal... Never again  I got myself too worked up in the build up, the drop was actually the easy part

Anything that is very high and has a lot of build up like drop towers or dive coasters I will be terrified of, but that doesn't stop me going on them, genuine terror gives me more of a buzz than any roller coaster or flat ride, I'm easily scared in scare mazes too but still go through them :tearsofjoy:

+1 for drop towers. I still actively avoid the things to this day. The only one I’ve managed to get myself to enjoy over the years is Mystery Castle, as the launches and bouncing distract from the drop (along with being in the dark). But that hold at the top before the electrical effect still puts me on edge.

We ignoring Tower of Terror? I have a photo somewhere...
