Well, after last night's very dramatic cliffhanger, I thought I'd start a thread on here for Line of Duty (BBC 1)!

A few points to get us started:

  • Who do we think could be the final "H"?
  • Could DCI Kate Flemming or Ryan Pilkington be dead after last night's shootout?
  • Is DCI Joanne Davidson being blackmailed into working for the OCG?

This is definately a spoiler.
I'm not convinced Hastings is H. I think it's Patricia Carmichael. Someone pointed out that Jimmy Lakewell said "look beyond the RACE CLAIM to find H". Take the word RACE CLAIM, add H, rearrange the letters and you get CARMICHAEL...

I can't work out if you're a genius or you've been locked down too long! :p:D

I'm still waiting on Buckles to pull a Keyser Soze.

That was an interesting episode last night even if it didn't reveal too much.

I get very frustrated watching Carmichael, mainly on Ted's behalf as you can feel his fruistration.

Yeah that's more evidence against her. She's definitely a contender for H. Plus, in a post on her Instagram page, Anna Maxwell Martin spelt definitely as "definately"...

Won’t give any spoilers, but is anyone else feeling massively underwhelmed?

Yep.

Turns out that all along they were writing themselves into a corner.

I had been under the impression that the entire plot arc had been planned from the start.

The reveal made very little sense.

In a thread marked spoiler I loathe to use spoiler tags but here goes...

Called it....sort of :D Never been more disappointed to be right :tearsofjoy:

It was poorly executed especially by LoD standards. The desire to link everything back to the start meant they'd painted themselves into a corner. Thurwell & Fairbanks were pointless Jed herrings!

Even having Hastings in cuffs at the end would have stirred up whether Carmichael was bent or just too by the book.

It just felt a bit rushed from scene to scene - when the bent prison officers had Davidson in the van I was surprised to see AC-12 getting out of it to intercept? Definitely fell short of the high standard it's set itself.
