Need help about short break tickets.

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but I've got a bit of a situation which needs sorting out and need some advice ASAP.

Me and a few friends are supposed to be visiting Alton Towers tomorrow. We were originally supposed to be going today, however the park became fully booked before we all managed to get hold of our tickets so we had to get our tickets rescheduled to tomorrow. However, one of my friends has just realised that he forgot to get his ticket date moved (he booked 2 tickets and only 1 got moved). The park is fully booked for tomorrow and obviously he won't be able to get in.

However, we have a plan, and I'm hoping someone can verify that it'll work before we commit to it. It appears that you can still get a ticket for tomorrow by booking a short break. When going onto the site, you are able to book a hotel for tomorrow night which comes with 1 day entry. Does this mean that, if we do that, we'll definitely be able to get him in with that ticket tomorrow, even though the general admission tickets are at full capacity? Are they two separate pools of tickets?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hotel tickets are their own pool, I can't remember if Alton are doing the one day either Day of your stay or if they pick for you

Welp, it says either side in the terms and conditions as well as openly on the website, but I just booked it and it says the tickets are for today (which is clearly already shut). Brilliant. Guess who's going to be getting an angry phone call tomorrow for their incorrect terms and conditions.

Double check the ticket, it might be a case of its showing the first day of use.

When you add a one day ticket to a hotel booking it asks you to select which date you want the ticket to be for on a drop down, which one did you pick?

Sadly I don't think so. In fact, I haven't actually been sent the tickets yet (maybe because it's already closed for the day). I've just been sent this (and I booked for two because apparently I was misinformed and both of the tickets I mentioned before weren't changed when he called, even though he asked them to be):

It definitely didn't let me choose the date of entry, and I haven't received the tickets. And here's what it says in their Terms and Conditions:

And more openly on the website:

I'm a bit rattled and don't really know what the right thing to do here is. We need to leave early tomorrow so I can't wait until their phone line opens up. I think I'm just going to book one for the 15th-16th, hope it gives me tickets for tomorrow (it should do) and then have a chat with someone when I get there.

My mistake regarding the date selection, that is for onsite hotels. I didn’t realise you were booking an offsite hotel which works differently.

No problem. Even if it works differently, their terms and conditions clearly state otherwise so I'm not happy. If I book one for 15th-16th, do you know if they'll definitely be for tomorrow?

No idea sorry. I’d just go with what you’ve got, chances are it will be fine, if it’s not you have the T&C’s to show them then you arrive. I certainly wouldn’t give them any more of my money!

On a plus side here is supposedly all the attractions have Emergency capacity reserved for customer escalations
Thanks for the help guys! The tickets just came through and they say valid *from* Mon 14th rather than *on*. So I think with all of this I should have a leg to stand on. My concern was with covid potentially meaning they don't have wiggle room for situations like this but the fact you say they do is reassuring. And, worst comes to the worst, if we get there and they don't let us in, I could book one for tomorrow night (so hopefully tickets for tomorrow), and either get them to refund this (for me being missold) or start a dispute on Paypal, which I think I should win.

I'm still a bit nervous but much less so than I was before. So thanks!

It'l just be the HX (hotel) system has to ask accesso for s ticket for today of a special type and accesso gives a ticket that starts today and is valid for a new more days.
*Edit: valid for several days but obviously only one use in total

I can't say for sure without looking the tickets order number up, but from what you've said probably.
Sorry to be a pain but is this something that I'm able to do myself? Or can be done by you if I DM them to you, if you wouldn't mind? I'm just panicing a bit and would like to make sure, sorry.

Theoretically I could but that still means you giving a stranger enough to get ticket barcodes*

They usually say a valid to date somewhere, does it not?

*Which isn't a good idea.

Yeah that's obviously not a good idea but I'm kind of desperate.

No, they don't have a valid to date which is why I'm concerned. In fact, it states "Your tickets are valid on the dates specified on your tickets only." and the only date it specifies is Valid From:

The 'Using your tickets' section only mentions if you booked park tickets for consecutive days which isn't relevant to me.

that screenshot is NOT your ticket that is clearly from the HX system, do you have an attachment that looks like this (obviously one with a barcode)?
