Yeah riding it at 10am and then at 9pm the same day is like riding two different coasters!Interesting feedback. I genuinely had no idea.
(although it's always been dark when we've ridden WM, so always toward the end of the day)

This is going to sound like a very random question, but; out of interest, does anyone know what the noises that are played each time the ride passes through the structure are meant to be?
I know there are 3 different ones, and that the final noise is played again just as the ride enters the maintenance shed at the end, but I’ll admit that I’ve never been sure what they’re meant to be; does anyone know?

Wickerfarts?
I presume the shaking of the structure? This is going to sound like a very random question, but; out of interest, does anyone know what the noises that are played each time the ride passes through the structure are meant to be?

One sounds like a hawk to me - but I don't really know. It's an interesting question. This is going to sound like a very random question, but; out of interest, does anyone know what the noises that are played each time the ride passes through the structure are meant to be?

Remember that each time the train passes through the structure the fire effects go off (or are supposed to anyway). That's probably what you hear! This is going to sound like a very random question, but; out of interest, does anyone know what the noises that are played each time the ride passes through the structure are meant to be?

The noise is different each time; it sounds like a sound effect each time. It’s worth noting that all 3 noises seem to trigger even when the fire is off, so I’m not sure it’s the fire effects, personally.Remember that each time the train passes through the structure the fire effects go off (or are supposed to anyway). They’re quite hard to describe, so why don’t I put in an off-ride video to show you what I mean?:
First sound is 0:57 amongst others, second sound is 0:50 amongst others, third sound is 2:53 amongst others. Something similar to the third sound also plays in the maintenance shed at the end.

I was somewhat disappointed with the last ride of the season on Wicker Man on Sunday night. Normally, a back row night ride is a riot; particularly when it has been blasting around all day.
Yes, the ride went down for 10 - 15 minutes prior to boarding, so the trains and rails will have cooled down, but the trains were looking significantly slower than usual at that time of night regardless. Even if we had managed to get on before the downtime hit, I'm not entirely sure it would have been as ludicrous as it can be.
A shame really.

That's a shame. Could the colder weather have had something to do with it?I was somewhat disappointed with the last ride of the season on Wicker Man on Sunday night. Normally, a back row night ride is a riot; particularly when it has been blasting around all day.

It was squealing around the corners a little so I'm wondering if it was lacking some grease on the tracks. I'm guessing they didn't grease them much knowing the season end was just a few days away.I was somewhat disappointed with the last ride of the season on Wicker Man on Sunday night. Slower speed also means that it runs differently on the tracks in terms of what wheels are in contact with the railsIt was squealing around the corners a little so I'm wondering if it was lacking some grease on the tracks. It had definitely cooled down due to the downtime. Still, that's probably the first and last time I will ever find myself singing Baby Shark in the Wicker Man pre-show. A surreal end to the 2021 season!

That's what some people asked in that thread. I hadn't heard of them but I think there's more chance of a B&M cross valley hyper than Wickerman having an inversion retrofitted!!!What rumours?

Quick we need a distraction!
Are the toilets getting themed? Galactica tunnel getting any love? Is it true Wuzeball is coming to Winter Wonderland finally? What are the queue times for the Swiss Cottage? Yadda yadda yadda....
