2022 Speculation and CBeebies Land additions

It makes some kind of sense to me, they can market the driving school as a new attraction in CBeebies and open up some space in TWoDW for new attractions there. Could even move Tree-Fu Tom up to TWoDW and advertise as a new attraction if they're being really cheap? From an advertising standpoint they could promote new attractions in both of their family IP areas, which could certainly be a draw.

There's many reasons why the Driving School wouldn't move to CBeebies, not least that it shares the target audience of Walliams world, which is aimed at older kids than CBeebies Land.

The majority of his books are aimed at the over 8s, the average 10 year old is too tall to go on the Driving School, its a relatively small cross over.
Whereas my youngest is nearly 4, loves Cbeebies and is tall enough to ride driving school, I think it fits far better into the top end of Cbeebies (along with Octonauts) than the Walliams bracket.

Honestly, I really doubt it'll be the driving school moving to CBeebies Land. That's more effort than re-theming it in the same place, it doesn't really make any sense.

Worth noting out that the actual ride hardware of Driving School is portable as it has previously been used at the Hotels and Hospitality Suite during Christmas events so any setup in Cbeebies would be pretty much just theming.

EDIT - Chucking my hat in the ring for an Amazing Machines themed driving school in Cbeebies https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episodes/m0009mbx/graces-amazing-machines

The driving school is down to be open at Christmas in Walliams, it as Cod says above, it’s each to move the actual ride. So no reason why they can build the new area for the driving school in CBeebies now, then once Christmas is over they will move and retheme the cars.

If that is the case, then I think they’ll just block off the driving school in Walliams for a year or two until something else opens there.

I do think it would be a mistake to remove the playground completely, hopefully some of it will be retained if this driving school rumour is true.

With toddlers it is always a good idea to have somewhere that they can run around and let off steam. With a lot of the day spent in queues in CBeebies, somewhere that is just a walk up and enjoy experience goes a long way to helping keep the day pleasant for parents and the kids.

My money's on a cross-valley B&M which will open on the 1st day of the season. Oh and Nemesis retracked by then too. I know this because I saw someone say it on YouTube the other day. :D:p:rolleyes:
I can't tell if you're joking here or not. If your joking it's mildly amusing and if you being serious I never suggested something would happen because of a YouTube video. I've speculated upon what a YouTube video might have said and what that might look like or how such a proposal could be implemented but I'd never take something like that as gospel and I barely believe anything that comes out of said YouTube channels.

I was being sarcastic and I wasn't aiming it you @JAperson, sorry if you thought I was. It was aimed at at the overall chatter that's going around at the moment based on that YouTube video (and no doubt others that are out there too!)
I'll admit there are elements of that video that are believable and may well prove to be true (particularly the things relating to Thorpe and Chessington) but the stand out thing that almost certainly won't happen is the cross-valley coaster yet some people (on social media) take it as being Gospel and that it will be built just because it was posted with a degree of authority in a video.

That's alright @Steve74 I wasn't sure so no worries but yes I agree with everything you've said. In this thread, Thorpe thread and SW9 thread I was more talking about the practicalities of what was suggested in the video I don't ever believe rumours like that.

Intamin recently posted a video of their new immersive motion theatre concept. It looks incredible, and if Towers ever got one it would give hex a run for it's money!
Very high capacity too, seating 80 riders (two more than Hex)

I wonder if they make a smaller version to go in Charlie and Lola.

This would’ve been an excellent ride system for Gangsta Granny.

This is exactly the sort of ride they should be putting in behind Air. Immersive, indoor, high capacity & it would fit the space theme well. Then reorientate the Air entrance away from FV & create a whole new space themed area separate from FV.
That's a really good idea actually, would help Galactica fit in more. Only issue would be physical space, as the building would be massive.

It would be a sizeable building but the space could come from the end of the car park. Chuck another flat in & some great theming all round & they’d have a whole other area to market for a reasonable sum of money. It could look great lit up in the dark too

That's a good point, would make sense as the car park is pretty big. Plus it wouldn't be noisy like a coaster would. :)

This all sounds great however I think we can be pretty confident it won't be in 2022. In fact personally I don't think they'd ever do to. They really want as many car parking spaces as possible. The more people they can let in the more money they make. It makes zero sense for them to use car parking spaces for the theme park even if they are converting some of there over-flows for more general use.

Imagine the state of the screens under where people sit/spit/spew.

I've been having a little look on Google Earth, and the more I look, the more I think that it would make a fair amount of sense for Driving School to be moving to CBeebies Land for 2022.

The Driving School area and the Tree Fu Tom area are quite similar in both size and shape according to my Google Earth calculations (Tree Fu came out a touch smaller, but I think I missed a bit of Tree Fu Tom's area due to its odd shape, while I might have slightly overmeasured Driving School), and given Driving School's 1.4m maximum height restriction and generally young child-centred ride experience, I actually think it would work better in CBeebies than in Walliams.

Given that the Driving School staff are also allegedly being relocated to CBeebies Land for 2022, I do think it lines up quite nicely...
