[2023] Rulantica: Vikingløp (RallyRacer) & Nordiskturn (lounges & food)

Unless it's changed (I've not watched the video), there's a limit of 150,€, so as long as you've got that amount to pay with then you'll be totally fine. The food and drink in the water park is reasonably priced (alcoholic drinks can be bought from just over 3,€ iirc) so unless you're planning on drinking your way through the day, you've nothing to worry about. If you have a few drinks and a couple of meals, you'd be hard pressed to break the 50,€ barrier.
Thanks Burbs, it makes more sense now. :)
You should give the video a watch when you have time, he makes some interesting points about things that could be improved.

I've visited twice, I have a few gripes with the place myself but on the whole really enjoy it. Really hoping that the new outdoor area will be open when I go in October as I'd really like to experience it, even if it's a bit chilly! :)

Universal has Krakatau Aqua Coaster in Volcano Bay, and that seems to cope fairly well with the large crowds that that park gets. If one can cope fine in Volcano Bay, I’m sure one could cope with Rulantica’s level of demand too.
Remember that Volcano Bay has a virtual queue system, whereas Rulantica does not.

A dutch podcast (this episode is in English though) interviewed Michael Kreft von Byern; Rulantica’s director.
https://www.vijfzintuigen.nl/podcas...ntl-interview-with-general-manager-rulantica/

He speaks about how the resort and parks have lost a lot of staff during corona who in lockdowns have changed to other industries.

Next summer a children’s attraction (the already announced Mack Rides attraction most likely), and some small slides and play areas outside will be added.

He claims, depending on how quick they can build, the 3rd slide tower could come as early as next winter.

Beside the Ragnakor slide tower and changing rooms there was a for a while a construction site - once the deep underground levels and foundations were completed it was insulated and closed over. However now the insulation is being removed for work to restart. Originally rumours had suggested this would be a future proofing extension to the changing and showering facilities however now some speculate perhaps this is already the slide tower? Will be interesting to see.

From EPFriends forum a look at the Kronasar extension and the walls for the extension of the lagoon between the hotel and water park - in the top left you can see part of this site.

In the new Immer Wieder Sonntags show arena concepts you can make out in the background slide tubes similar to a RallyRacer - on the mystery construction site mentioned in my last post. Seemingly confirming the new slide tower will be added on the corner of the building beside the tower with free fall trap door slides and racing tube slides.

New for 2022 in Rulantica will be some new kids attractions to expand Snorri’s Strand and there will be a family ride from Mack Rides.
Michael has shared a look at the construction site for the Mack project - which is undoubtedly going to be a Twist n Splash I think it’s safe to say from that shape.

This is just superb.

I go three times a year and there's something new each time.

Power Splash next please.

In all seriousness, an excellent addition. A ride like this adds significant capacity in the summer months and takes up relatively little space.

Slide parts have arrived at Rulantica for the 3rd Slide Tower!

In the Rulantica Preview Centre in EP a new park map showing the future has been put up (including the Kronasar extension + Eatrenalin). It appears to not be any ordinary Rallyracer intriguingly. Looks quite long and to return to the tower - so is completely indoors.

Roland Mack said in last Thursday's press conference they are aiming for Autumn 2022 to complete it.

So I guess in the covered sections you'll be able to see the other people, like on the black and white sections on the duel slide. It's a good idea to keep it a year round attraction.

Can't help feel it's a little far away from the rest of the waterpark. Is that the spa section people will have to cross to get to it?

The spa is on the other side of the building, so you won’t have to cross that, but it does look like quite a long walk from the main hall of Rulantica. Certainly not as integrated with the rest of the water park as far as that map shows.

I wonder how they’re going to integrate it, as you get the feeling it’s going to require a pretty long corridor which is going to give the feeling that it’s sort of just off on its own.
