[2023] Rulantica: Vikingløp (RallyRacer) & Nordiskturn (lounges & food)

That's just the motorway junction at Ringsheim in a few years time.

It's kind of insane that Europa consistently do this based on short gaps of unseasonably good weather.
Mothballing and reopening an attraction can be a complicated process. And that's ontop of planned maintenance. Most parks can't respond to a week of good weather in this way, which is why water attractions don't suddenly reopen in early spring or late Autumn just because a mini heatwave passes over. But Europa frequently run rides unadvertised during the Christmas event based purley on the temperature that day.
They must have an impressive maintenance schedule even during the closed season to allow this to happen.

Here is a look at how the site for Tønnevirvel, the new Mack Twist 'N' Splash, was coming along last week:

Loving that Snorri is promoting that it is a Mack Product..!

The post is not available unfortunately

I wonder when they will actually open, I know they say “summer” but I imagine it shouldn’t take them too long to get the ride in place and testing.

I have only a few short lines to say about Rulantica...

I hate waterparks. I have never enjoyed them. I am not a confident swimmer. Water slides scare me.

I spent 10 hours in Rulantica, abolutely loved it, and did all but 3 of the 'big' slides (drop slide, raft slide and the horrific looking raft slide with the wall).

Roll on any and all expansions!

I can just sit in Rulantica with a beer all day and do nothing. It's a lovely place to be.

I'd definitely do that drop slide again though. I've always feared water, yet something about it entices me, even though I had to lift my head up half way down gasping for air.

I’d like to see them install some tables for your drink in Skog Lagune, the same as they have in the outside pool.

LIES! You also didn't do Isbrekker (the one that drops in to the pool) and Stormrok (outdoor bowl slide in Svalgurok)! :p

I'll be posting more thoughts when I get to the Rulantica part in my trip report thread but @Sazzle is a great example of why Rulantica is so good. Someone who does not like waterparks at all, and was not massively looking forward to it because of this, had an absolute blast!

This mirrors exactly my sentiment towards amusement parks until 2016: I hate crowds; I am scared of rollercoasters. Then I was dragged into Europapark. :)
