I think the thing with Hitler is that the word may be censored on some comment platforms not because it’s a swear word as such but to prevent people from using it in an inflammatory way or to make offensive comments.

As an interesting aside you’ll sometimes see some internet users using the word “G-d” instead of saying “God”. It seems be a Jewish American thing which I think is perhaps done as writing the actual word is considered to be somewhat disrespectful as I understand it

knowing this is the Tavern and not for seriousness but people writing g-d is because it’s not allowed in most interpretations of Judaism to write the name of god.

Nothing to do with America, and not really related to YouTube censorship of the names of evil fascist dictators.

I believe words like rape and Hitler are often censored in things like youtube videos and tiktoks because they can cause videos to be demonetised or show up less in the algorithm meaning they get less interaction
