Boxers briefs or trunks are so uncomfortable for playing football, they ride up all the time and feel like you’re wearing 2 pairs of shorts. i can never understand how professional footballers wear boxers. The slim briefs, I think they call them slips are definitely the best to wear under shorts for sports, but most shops only seem to sell boxers or trunks
Generally if I'm doing exercise I wear clothing designed for doing sport, regular boxers or boxer breifs will ride up but you can get compression ones or just ones made for football that will fit better. This sort of thing https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/adult-football-undershorts-keepcomfort/_/R-p-330947?mc=8619324&

I could never do exercise in loose-fit boxers - that's a recipe for disaster in my experience. :p
I'd meant to put regular boxer briefs, yes loose boxers would not work! I do often go running or do yoga without underwear though as many of my sports shorts are suitably lined.

Dragging this thread up because I’m a moron… :p

I’ve been wearing briefs a bit more regularly lately compared to my usual boxer-briefs/trunks, and…I’m very seriously tempted to switch back to them, replacing my current stuff as and when needed. They’re just far more comfortable than what I’ve worn for the past few years. I’ve already binned a few older pairs of boxer-briefs lately due to them being worn-out, so maybe now’s the time to make the change…

I've also made a change recently. I had to bin briefs over a decade ago because I had an operation on my groin. Anything rubbing on the scar makes it very sore. So loose fitting boxes did the trick for a while. I don't know if it's my age, but now some things seem to be heading more and more south as the years go on. I need some support, like a bra for a gentleman package, otherwise my day will be spent in discomfort. I like everything to be held up.

Boxer briefs have started uncomfortably rubbing against my inner thighs which have eczema on them. So it's long tight gym or cycling shorts now. The tighter the better, I've done my job to ensure the continued survival of the human species, so none of it needs to work down there anymore. Another 10 years and I'll probably be resorting to Long Johns.

I just don’t like anything moving around down there. Some pairs of boxer-briefs are better at it than others, but the frustrating thing is that different pairs of the same style from the same store can have…differing abilities when it comes to keeping everything in place. Can make for some embarrassing situations… Don’t have that problem to anywhere near the same extent with briefs, which is arguably the main reason why I’m seriously considering switching back to them.

Briefs are definitely the best for keeping everything in place, and the most comfy. I always wear them for sport but have recently started wearing them more often. I wear footy or sports shorts a lot over the summer and so briefs are more suitable

Went for a walk this morning as I often do on a Saturday. Was only across town to Tesco and back, but it's a fair trek, and it counts. Lovely weather for it and all, so it was time to dig out the shorts. Briefs underneath them in this weather was definitely the right call - anything else could've easily been unpleasant. :p

Must be great having a big penis. Can’t relate.

Lol, that made me chuckle. They do keep everything in place better than boxers which is always safer when wearing shorts. Wearing boxers under sports shorts just feels weird, like wearing 2 pairs of shorts

It looks like the boxer wearers won! I had to wear boxers for football this week as my pants were all in the wash. I spent half the game trying to rearrange things! Never again, I’m done with boxers!

I mean, boxers are good for lounging around in...and that's about it, really.
