Recently. youtube inexplicably recommended a couple of videos to me showing how various counties around Europe saw this year's Eurovision. The first focusses , on how broadcasters transitioned from local programming into the live feed at the start of the show, the second shows how and and where various countries cut away from the show to squeeze in some ads during the less important bits. In both cases, the Italian broadcaster RAI completely ignored the set process and seemingly just made it up as they went along:

Seems like NEP did the main OB facilities with several other companies providing extras for the world feed and the company I used to work for did some of the UK add-ons like turquoise carpet work and One Show

Great to see the BBC putting the semi finals on BBC1 now as well.
