Chessington World of Adventures Resort

Maybe the red in the P of Vampire is the blood, as it's positioned by the bat's head?

Word on the street is that Scorpion is ready to run, but queue line is compromised. The budget said they could fix up one ride and they chose tomb. Take it as you will.
Worthy sacrifice

I agree. I wish the budget called for better paint jobs though... The toilet area in wildwoods has received a paint by numbers purple on all the walls there. Whilst it doesn't look awful, it does look amatuer... I have no idea why they keep doing it...

It would appear as though Mandrill Mayhem may not be opening either, as according to Chessington Buzz, the ride stalled in the middle of the helix, and the train had to be craned off:

Iā€™ll admit that Iā€™m a tad stumped as to how itā€™s managed to stall in that part of the helix; seeing as the helix is entirely downwards, wouldnā€™t basic physics and gravity dictate that it would just roll back down to the launch track?

It's quite a gradual slope though isn't it.

Those gates are much better, and what the ride should have opened with in the first place. Only downside mind is some people might feel claustrophobic.

Nailed it with the air-gate scoop šŸ˜ƒ

Sad about Scorpion. Iā€™d heard it was an insurance issue due to the restraints (similar to runaway train at AT) but who knows. Hopefully they have something in mind for 2025.

With runaway mine train, and fish, and hundreds of other rides of the same type currently running, it certainly isn't that.

If they wanted it running enough (by which I mean we're willing to spend enough), it would be running.

It's a shame to lose it, but as Scorpian Express it was pretty crap anyway, one of the worst redos sold as improvements in a Merlin full of awful redos sold as improvements.
