The Finest Ale

I don't mind a moretti every now and then. Especially if out and about.

This is a decent alternative. A bottle of that kept me company for second half of Liverpool game nicely. It would be a good drink to have on a summer's evening.

I tend to avoid peroni. Ive found it has a similar clientele to Stella. And nobody wants that.

Anyone remember the days when the badge on a beer pump told you what the BEER was? It seems these days they are more interested in advertising the brewery, and the name of the actual beer is in the fine print that old eyes cannot read.

I just had a couple of pints on Black Adder stout. I mean, with a name like that, how could I not? Very nice.

Ah Black Adder a classic ….. both the beer and the tv show

Yep - if you go to really trendy bars in London they aren’t named just numbered.

Made that mistake once trying to go from number 1 to 20…..

Can't visit London without having a pint in the Euston Tap before the train home. They have about 20 taps on.

After the league cup final we just asked the barman for a good session ale and he didn't steer us wrong.

The upstairs is a bit mad but a great venue for that last pint before leaving the big smoke.

Always a good sign when the workmate you went out for a pint with last night's first words to you the next morning are,
"How did I get home last night‽"

Worth a pint to see
It’s quite an old school tasting bitter, brewed locally by Big Lamp Brewery in Newcastle. I’m trying one and it’s ok, not quite my thing, but they do have Maximus and Double Maxim on tap here (brewed over near Sunderland) for £1.99 and those are very nice indeed.

Yeah! Like Banks's, or Timothy Taylor's, or Hobson's, or Leffe, or every larger ever. 😉

The sad thing with that southern beer is the fact that a good deal of the stuff uses Thames water...which has been through at least half a dozen people before being turned into beer.
Thats why it doesn't keep a head, and often tastes like ****.
