The best of... MANDY

Ah yes, 23ft = 1ft to Mandy. Never let facts get in the way of a promo campaign.
I have never minded the 235ft claim. I know it's not technically correct as that is from sea level , but to be fair it is right next to the sea and that's what you look down at when you go over the top.

I read a post on social media somewhere that said if Blackpool are claiming that The Big One is 235ft from sea level then Thorpe Park can claim that Hyperia is around 300ft from sea level.

At the end of the day Thorpe built to 236 foot to break the height record people associate with The Big One.

If the Big One had always been marketed as 212 foot Thorpe would've built to 213 foot, suppose at least then it might not have needed all those trim breaks in the splash down.

Not quite the same really. The top of Big Ones lift hill is literally about 20 yards from the sea

Hyperia is currently closed, pending delivery of new parts from Mack. Rumour has it the part in question is around 23ft of track from the top of the lifthill.

In unrelated news, the top of PMBO appears to have been painted white overnight.
