2025: Toxicator - General Discussion

Seems a shame they’ve missed the opportunity to release the soundtrack.

Given they’ve released Nemesis Reborn, Hex, Curse, Pirate Takeover all recently, this seems a strange change in tack.
I'm sure it'll be released soon. I just wish they'd release Hex (and future releases) as an album as well and not just on Spotify as some people (myself included) prefer owning something rather than subscribing to a service that can remove stuff without warning.

With regards to the sewage issue, it’s likely/ a probably a localised waste pump either tripped or failed leading the area to back up, for the size of the resort there will be many pump sites across the resort.

Did a couple of rides yesterday. One at 12 (25 min queue, one night ride at 7.30 (felt like 15 mins). First thing I noticed turning into FB was before I could see the ride, I could hear the screams of the riders on it. It's always a good sign. Once the trees opened up and we saw the carriage violently spinning it's a real woah moment. The theming looked fine, just the carriage looks a lot more polished and superior quality to the rest of it. The water falling from fountain area onto queue needs to be sorted. Not major just noticeable gap in queue as people won't stand there. Queue goes quick so thumbs up there.
On ride, raising the platform is really appreciated here. You tower above the queue as a result and it gives great views when your not being spun 😂
It's the right balance of fun and intensity..We faced away from Galactica.
After the ride no sea legs either.
On the night ride, things go up a level. The theming that looks average in the day looks awesome at night. Mixes of green yellow and red lights are vivid as well as making the fountains pop a bit more. As you spin in the dark, disorientation increases. I was facing away from Galactica again and was please to see a different cycle to before meaning I went backwards more..
Great addition to the ride line up imo.

Ripsaw was a decontamination device, At the end it if i remember rightly it said "You have been detoxed by Ripsaw", The cabin also said something like Detox Crew on it
Been that way for 28 years, since Ripsaw opened. Ripsaw and the Blade were things to cut the Nemisis monster up into pieces. Or maybe Ripsaw was a decontamination device. They were both definitely part of the Nemesis story even 25+ years ago.

Yes the op cabin was themed as a truck which had Detox Crew on the front.

The PA announcement was "You have just been detoxed by Ripsaw. Thank you for riding. Please alight to the right".

I'm still none the wiser on this... Are those silver posts and chain link fencing going to just be there forever?

Is this part of the queue going forward, if so I really hate that. And certainly promotes queue jumping on quieter days,

It's also very misleading as it looks like this is the entrance to the queue

yeah, looking at them, they appear to be the type where they slide into a tube in the ground, so they can be removed / replaced (presumably on busy days) for added capacity making it much easier to set up (as there is no decision making to where they have to go) and less easily moved.

Got to say that I was fairly impressed by what they've done with Toxicator. The ride is fun, albeit not as forceful as say Talocan, and the theming is better than I originally anticipated. Added bonus was only have to wait 20 minutes for it on Saturday, we managed to time that very well!

The biggest design flaw however it with the fountains, especially on the Blade pit side of the ride. A constant drip from above which is going to do wonders for the look of the concrete. And then towards the end of the cycle, a gust of wind caused by the ride causes a slight wall of water to pour over the queue line and the path. Not ideal to say the least!

Good job overall though, now more flats please!

I believe they are temporary crowd barriers and not permanent bollards as shown in your photos, primarily due to having a ground base and not being cylinders. Drilling numerous deep holes for temporary bollards would be rather excessive and not in the spirit of Merlin budgetary policy.

Will be even more of an issue in the summer, when the fountains are at full blast and strike the gondola, deflecting the water properly into the queue and onto the path.

Sorry if I have missed something, but has this been confirmed?
