Jurassic World and Minions are definitely 2 of the 4 lands looking at but can't figure out what the others could be.

This is extra exciting because I've never been able to visit any Universal park so having one only 2 hours away from me will be great! Definitely the most exciting development that I'll be following in my lifetime so far

Sorry if covered but the exec talking to Starmer confirmed there will be 4 themed lands.

Based on the concept that would seem to be:

Minions (far right)
Jurassic (top)

And two more. Lots of people seem to be suggesting BTTF which would be wonderful but seems unlikely to me.

Nah if they get a BTTF area then that's it for me, I don't care about anything else (comparatively)

But seriously, I did want it to be a mixture of classic and modern Universal IPs and so far based on the concept art, looks to be the case!

A launched Delorean coaster will have me sold on annual passes (if i wasn't already).

Although interestingly...

Presumably she's not naming things for fun.

Somewhat aligns with this very optimistic suggestion on Twitter if you switch LOTR for Harry Potter:

Wish we could have both LOTR and Harry Potter!

I have to agree, I just don't see what else it could be. The area top right is the biggest mystery, some have suggested LOTR while others think it may be a Dark Universe themed area.

Whatever it is yet think the area is deliberately vague and lacking some themeing elements that could give it away. No way is that large building at the back be unthemed.
Pretty sure it's Shrek!

Minions (East)
Shrek (NE)
Dream Works (SW)

Wouldn't this be massive overkill though with kid friendly areas?

If you look at Epic Universe you’d say two out of four areas are kid friendly (Dragon and Nintendo), however they feel a bit more adult-kid friendly than the likes of Minions and Dreamworks.

I’m sure they’ll get it right 🤞

Yeah I'd say Nintendo especially is more meaningful to people of my age.

HTTYD is a very clearly the main family area at Epic and from the videos I have watched it looks like the one where you could spend the most time really.

The swing launch definitely looks like Back to the Future, because that courtyard where the entrance to the coaster will be reminds me of the courtyard where the clock tower is! I can also see the Back to the Future musical moving into the area as the secondary attraction for the land.

I think the area with Super Silly Fun Land could have the Illumination theatre and Secret Life of Pets ride rather than Despicable Me, as we don’t see Gru’s house.

I suspect Jurassic World will have the B&M, the dark ride from Beijing and the Dr Doom shot towers.

Also looks like Amity at the bottom of the Main Street, so we could be getting a Jaws attraction!! Sounds like the Spielberg motif will be very prominent throughout the whole park.

No Potter, Wicked or Nintendo but plenty of expansion spaces within the park. I suspect they will have merchandising opportunities though!

It is terrifying you managed to clock that, but very well done. An amazing Shrek chronicler lies among us.

Of course, this whole thing looks incredible. I would’ve preferred the kind of Epic Universe style, but I’ve been to USJ, and that was about what I was expecting, which is still very good mind you.

The proof will be in the pudding. These rides better be good, they’re clearly going for a Efteling style excellence where it’s more in the rides and mini lands than being totally immersive. I get it, that’s Florida’s game and they want people to still go there, as much as I want Dark Universe in my front door. Also, the amount of Dark rides and show buildings is very exiting, If hard to speculate on.

But I’m a dark ride guy.
Bring it on

Alas, it has been spotted by many...

This looks to be the most accurate interpretation of the concept art by Hayden Palmer on Twitter

The only part I disagree on is that I could see a Jaws dark ride as opposed to the James Bond Stuntacular, with potential for Waterworld being Bond instead

I would wager that the Minions section will feature other Illumination properties.

Paddington is a decent shout for the bottom left area of the concept art. I'd also hope there's a few British-centric IPs dotted around. Bond version of the Bourne show? Possibly an issue with the Amazon purchasing of the rights.

Also, just thought, that car park in said artwork is clearly meant for the hotel and isn't the main car park.

Europe's first Universal theme park coming to UK - BBC News

Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy hailed the "landmark investment" as "fantastic news" for the economy.

"This is not just about bringing great American creations to Britain, this is also about showcasing great British creations to the world," she told the BBC Breakfast.

"These are things like James Bond, Paddington Bear, these are things like Harry Potter. We've got so much to be proud of."
Bond and Paddington confirmed by Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy. Also ‘like Harry Potter’ suggests Potter will not be present!

Halloween Horror Nights…

Need I say more?

Can't say I'm overly bothered really.

I don't get scared easily tbh which is surely the whole point? I find Scare attractions as a whole generally quite boring and repetitive. I will be that one guy going around admiring the theming and totally missing the entire point of it all. Haha!

Coasters in the dark though? Bring it on.

I disagree. I think the very fact she mentioned Potter adds fuel to the fire of it being present, as she also said “these are things like James Bond and Paddington Bear” as well, if we’re being pedantic. Surely if Potter definitely wasn’t present, she wouldn’t have mentioned it at all, no?

I’m not saying we can confirm either way at the moment, but I don’t think we can use Lisa Nandy’s wording as confirmation that it won’t be present when if anything, I’d argue that it implies the opposite.

That spike coaster looks incredible but if it is BTTF SURELY there will be a dark ride of some sort, the IP is screaming out for it with the whole time travel thing.

I'd say it's incredibly likely to be BTTF personally. In fact I'm 99% sure it is.

1. It fits with the style of coaster

2. It seems to be located in a 'Hollywood section' with the Amphitheatre based outside. For those not aware the Hollywood Bowl is a famous outdoor concert venue in Los Angeles and it looks just like the one on the plans.

3. Hill Valley is the fictional town in California where BTTF is based

4. Apparently Universal have had more feedback on their decision to get rid of their BTTF ride and replace it with the Simpsons over every other decision they made. Even more than when they chose to get rid of Jaws which is still in my top3 best rides I have ever been on.

5. Definitely appears to be the famous Courthouse Square in those plans.

Get excited my friend because where we're going.....we don't need roads! ;)

Some on Inside Universal forums speculated that its a BTTF Coaster where the spike has a lighting strike affect when you ascend it when it then launches you to 88mph, the idea being that you enter the ride in a different time zone to when you leave it.

If they do that they'd have surpassed even my expectations.

If the analysis of the concept art is correct then (rather smartly) they have put in rides/ IP’s that are not available in the US parks (either they are in China or not at all) so you are still attractive to any US tourists visiting London who may want to visit.

Would love to have had Nintendo and Monsters unchained but that would take away some of the drive for European visitors to go to Florida so understandable if they don’t turn up.

Not sure on the open air amphitheatre in UK weather but there is time for that to change.
