Some of the posts have been moved from the previous Thorpe thread to this one to create a single general topic (my fault when we did the tidy up the other week!). Merging the two topics in one would create a bit of a mess with previous discussion.

The team aren't able to read every single post, so we're likely to miss a post where you ask us to review something within a topic. As always, if you see an issue that you'd like addressing, just hit the report button on any past. Thanks to those that did just that .

Isn't this the old Hyperia topic? I'm not sure why it got renamed, perhaps it was a glitch in the tidy up. Whatever will the archivists think?

Some exciting news from my Thorpe park trip today!

Work on the splash down section has begun.

The old splash down effects have been removing leaving the brackets behind.

We could be getting the splash down back again!!!

Not sure whether you have a park or Merlin pass, but links are all on the Merlin Annual Pass site (this covers the Thorpe pass too).

I missed this today by only a few feet, fortunately we had been batched onto the stairs of the single rider queue by then!

Not sure this is going to catch on as a replacement for the splashdown somehow...

Finally rode Hyperia for the first time today, and wow… what a ride! A real pity that it’s so short but the first drop is unmatched with any other of the nearly 500 coasters I’ve been on. Utterly insane.

Unfortunately only a TikToker would have thought to film it... The rest of us were just going about enjoying our day!

Actually I thought it was odd they opened the queue line while the ride was still going around with dummies, seemed like a procedural error. It was funny though!

Or if on a mobile, give incognito mode a try - it should allow you to open it up without it automatically opening Tiktok or Google Play.

I'm not so sure if it works the same way on Apple as with Android/Chrome.
